SubFrog Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 Nice TT. My friend has a gen and I admire it as he wears it every day. I always liked this one. Enjoy!
hiker01 Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 (edited) Nice! I'll get this to replace my Gen after I sell it! I hope Victoria see's this! She's been looking for one! Hi V! Here it is! Edited December 18, 2007 by HikeUSA
chronology1066 Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 Beautiful, always a favorite of mine. The only general irritation is the amount of purple in the blue but thats the case for nearly all the reps of this fine timepiece. Wear it well and in good health
Victoria Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 I just love it!!!! Magnificent choice, Elprimerozen. Like HikeUSA said, my mum and I were looking at a "gen" the other day (I think rep being sold for 4k!) at a jewelry shop. Lovely watch, great choice, wear it in good health! P.S.: Is that a sunken ship in a bottle in the background? I have a similar one! (Ahhh. Maiale repro?)
elprimerozen Posted December 18, 2007 Author Report Posted December 18, 2007 Its my new gen Two tone Submariner. Series Axxxxxxx which is between 1998 and 2000 production. So i have joined also the "Two Tone" gen family.
elprimerozen Posted December 18, 2007 Author Report Posted December 18, 2007 P.S.: Is that a sunken ship in a bottle in the background? I have a similar one! (Ahhh. Maiale repro?) Oooh yes it is!
rosnik Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 Its my new gen Two tone Submariner. I was sure it was gen!! My compliments for your new toy.
Corgi Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 I guess at least one person's hunt for owning "the best sub" is over!
zmankillian Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Verynice. Congratulations. May your wearing it always find you where you want to be and in the best of health. Congratulations.
elprimerozen Posted December 19, 2007 Author Report Posted December 19, 2007 Thanks people for your kind words! I wish you all the best!!
By-Tor Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Congrats man. The TT Sub is different than the stainless models... it has to be genuine. No reps come even close. I've owned 3 reps of this watch (2x TW, 1 Chinese)... so I know. Enjoy!
Terje Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Gorgeous watch! My all time favorite. You`re a lucky man
hambone Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Looks great, congrats. That happens to be my favorite Rolex, and If I ever get one this will be it. Just wish they were a bit bigger.
POTR Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Nice TT. And thanks for the photographic evidence that you can find crooked crystals on a Rolex every once in a while... And here is photographic evidence that when you have too much Gran Reserva Mezcal Azul (no matter how much it costs...), finding your Rolex (and standing still) can be a problem... So, go easy on the Celebrating the new watch.
Dizzy Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 The color of the gen blue dial just cant be beat! Its sooooo beautiful! wear it well my friend!
jkarpas Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Megeia my greek friend, very nice sub you got there. How does the bracelet feel compared to the reps? i see you got the hollow end links. Mind if i ask you how much you spent for this beauty and from where did you get it? thank you kala christougenna
WatchDude Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Congrats, nothing beats owning at least one gen!
tech Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Congrats man. The TT Sub is different than the stainless models... it has to be genuine. No reps come even close. I've owned 3 reps of this watch (2x TW, 1 Chinese)... so I know. Enjoy! Congrats on the new watch....the gen is great, no rep TT can come close to the gold rolex uses...mine oldie but goodie: ...and be prepared to get asked a zillion times "is that real".... I tell 'em, "ya, $30 bucks down at the flea market...."
WatchDude Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Maybe it depends on who you hang out with, but I've owned a gen Rolex for about two and a half years and never ONCE have I been asked if it is real. Maybe because it is only SS? Do you really get asked that? Not trying to sound like a [censored], with your financial status or career - can you pull it off? I always wonder if these are white collar guys here that are getting asked or if they are 19 year old kids still living at home with mom.
rosnik Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 My I get some pictures about my TT Sub Tiffany too?

I can pull this off...as im a doctor..and my father is a doctor ......and my grand father....and we all have the same specialization!
WatchDude Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 Thats a very good question! I can pull this off...as im a doctor..and my father is a doctor ......and my grand father....and we all have the same specialization! There you go! I always read, time and again, how if you wear a Rolex - people will challenge you. Not that it is always the case, but if you are young, don't have a decent job, etc. you MAY get questioned. Even having said that, I have a buddy that got an all gold day-date (what 20-25k?) for his graduation from under-grad (before law school), nobody thought twice about it. I'm a young professional (early 30s), I'm successful in my field and I've never had a second glance. I can suspect you won't either. Also, in my circle of friend as well as business associates, there are almost more people that wear Rolex than those that don't. When I'm out calling on prospects, there is ALWAYS at least one that I see. . . I just don't get the posts saying that you will get asked if it is real, I just don't see it. . .
