greg_r
A ridiculous amount of money for a rep. At that price I'd be looking for a used gen....
patinga
Is it just me, or are these prices spiraling out of control.
peyups
They didn't get the right rotor attachment right like on the gen swiss 7750 mvt still.
Rolexman
They didn't get the right rotor attachment right like on the gen swiss 7750 mvt still. Because they used the Asian rotor...
peyups
Hmmm.. Why not have the swiss 7750 rotor engraved?.. If only the carrera doesn't have a see-thru back case it won't be an issue thou.

Guest TheDude
And i was told i paid too much for my Carrera at $470 which is apparently Swiss movement. (according to the website anyway). Amazon are having a hell of a watch sale at the moment and there are brand new Tags on there for less than that

importr
Yeah it is far too expensive, for what it is. Even my ETA powered Carrera cost less: Carrera Racing rep $260 (incl. rep rubber & steel straps) brand new regulated Valjoux 7750 $414 brand new genuine TAG rubber straps $100 some other parts (hands set, gasket etc) $35 Total : $809 Edited October 27, 2008 by Importr
robertk
Well, it helps to have a sense of humor about it. I'm sure the absence of buyers will not surprise even Josh.
Toadtorrent
Holy Crap that's a high price. This is a new release with the Swiss movement and the bracelet correct? If I remember correctly, the other Carrera's only had the rubber strap.
importr
as far as i can remember the bracelet was repped and then offered with the Racing when it was first released nearly 2 years ago?

Yea.. we said the same thing about the HBB at $1k but yet, they have made a dedicated website for them.. Don't underestimate the stupidity of the world... I mean. Some are ready to pay $600 for a Canal Street Rep off a scam website... worst they might get 2 of them.. Huge deal for a Rolex ! P.S.
