my new DW 6263 which needs some work.

Seconds hand doesn't reset to 12 exactly, dial has dust and the hands are dirty. I have to take it apart but I'm not quite ready to do so.... Here are a few pics in the mean time.

Unfortunately, your experience is all too typical. Most of these watches are assembled under less than 'clean room' conditions (often anything but clean), so dust & debris is more often the rule rather than the exception (I always plan to remove the movement to clean the inside of the crystal & dial face upon any rep's arrival).

The misaligned seconds hand (I assume you are referring to the large, center chrono seconds hand) most likely has a weak/loose joint, which must be tightened or cemented to repair. This would best be handled by a watchmaker (due to the delicate nature of the hands & time/effort involved in fixing the joint, some watchmakers may either recommend replacement of the hand or may refuse to accept the work altogether).

And while I hate to heap more bad news onto an already sad stack, it looks like the hour totalizer subdial hand (at 6) is 'wandering' (not resetting to 12) due possibly to being similarly loose on its tube & you might also ask for a replacement bezel since you have 1 of those with the misaligned 90.

But, othersise, your watch looks great. ;)

freddy thanks for the input...

I'll request for a replacement bezel, the hour totalizer is running at all times, is that normal? it was about 8mins or so since i reset it when i took the pics....

shall i ask for a large seconds hand replacement as well?
