It's funny how my tastes have changed since joining this forum. It looks like both watches have Brevet crowns, but are either of them the big, 8mm version? Could you itemize the parts used to construct them? I have a gen tropic 18 on mine and it doesn't look nearly as nice as those! Speaking of which... if anyone wants to do up a 6536-1 I have the correct crystal, a gen tropic 16. Examples such as yours and Freddy's posts made me realise that there's got to be more to this hobby than just buyng more and more ready to wear stuff. It's started me off down the modding road and vintage is the way to go. This post on RWG was my first encounter with a watch that gave me the horn! Here it is: Horny Watch My first project is underway and it's giving me a greater buzz then any out-of-the-box-super-rep will every do. An awesome touch of attention to actual detail, rather than ideal detail The strap used in the early Bond films was not a NATO (note the lack of NATO rings & the material sliding under the case) Instead, they used a simple, 1-piece strap like this (but with Bond's school or military color stripes instead of my strap's plaid design), which was popular in the late 50s & early 60s Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
