  1. Once upon a time, earlier this year, I fell victim to the alluring concept of the replica watch. By simply typing the words "replica watch" on google, many sites came up, but none of the reputable ones you will find in this forum. Instead, you will be plagued by the biggest ripoff scam websites on the internet. I have discovered the largest watch ripoff umbrella on the internet. The group of internet based companies have the same swiss upgrade gimmick and are based primarily out of New York. If you buy from one of the following sites, you WILL be ripped off!! I almost fell victim to one of these rip off sites and thank god I found a reputable rep forum that saved me. Here is what I know: - The dealer will convince you to do C.O.D or Wire Transfer. - If you are out of the USA, they will say that due to security and fraud that credit card orders will not be accepted. They will convince you to do a money wire since that is the next safest method since you will have their business bank account information. Little do you know that the info provided is not actually a bank account!! It is a routing number where your funds are redirected several times until it ends up in a pre-paid debit/credit card company. The money enters the fraudster's prepaid debit/credit card where the funds are withdrawn immediately. These pre-paid accounts are set up all over the United States and are extremely hard to track. There are many aliases and phone numbers that these scammers use. They don't really have a base of operations and work off pre-paid cell phone numbers. They have set up a fake rep review site called http://www.fakereviews.com and http://www.replicainspector.com. The pictures used on these sites are of actual gen watches!! Not the watch(es) you may or may not receive. How do I know so much? I almost fell victim and actually wired funds to bluefakes. Luckily I have very powerful friends in the banking industry. With thorough investigation and persistance, I tracked to where the funds ended up. I not only got my money back, but ended up freezing several of their accounts and money returned back to other victims. Here is the list of the companies: GLOBAL REPLICA Additional Business Names: A Fine Luxury Time AFineLuxuryTime.com Allfakes Betterswiss BlueFakes Fullswiss Go Replicas Italian Fakes Jewelers Laststopwatch Limited Watch My Swiss Replica MySwissReplica.com New Replica Newwatch4u Nextswiss Nyswiss OnTimeFakes Precise Knock Offs Ravereplicas Redhotwatch Replicaceo Reproduccion Global Showtimereplicawatches Sizzlefakes SwissFreeze Zenithmotor I am really sorry that it took so long to compile this. I read about a victim on repgeek and got really angry. I really wanted to put the past behind me but something has to be done. I hope I am not too late to try and help others. These are only the companies that I know of under the same group. There potentially can be more. I have put together this information in hope that other people do not fall victim to these petty thugs. Jawo

  2. I wanted to get a few shots posted today of my new 15300. I would like to take a few more nice pics, to try and show the real beauty of this watch. When I have the time I will send a few more views, showing the crystal, the depth of the screws in the bezel, the sapphire backed movement, a side profile etc. But from the few pics I have here, you will get the idea. I am very happy with this watch and it's quality. For the money, you can't go wrong IMO. It keeps great time, smooth second hand, not choppy at all, and the dial for the most part is right on. I especially like the fact that it is the correct case dimension @ 40.5 x 9.5cm. It wears extremely well on my smallish 6.75 wrist, with no apprecialble overhang etc. When removing extra links, I have been able to modify the fit perfectly on my wrist. From previous posts on the older version of this watch I read that a number of people had reversed the bracelet because the back side in fact seemed smoother and less striated than the front. I tried that, and found that there was in a fact a benefit to to this. The back of the bracelet IS smoother than the front, and by making the conversion from back to front, it makes the watch LOOK and FEEL better. I spent sometime with a Cape Cod polishing cloth and a bit of sewing machine oil on the hinges, and it softened, polished and made the feel of the bracelet more 'buttery'. A very nice feel. I noticed too, that the sides of the bracelet are more polished than past bracelets, so more like the gen bracelet, which seems to have a higher or better polished surface than the top of the links. I recommend trying the bracelet 'flip' with your new Royal Oak. The clasp itself functions perfectly, and the AP engraving is spot on. One of the things I noticed on the previous version of the 15300 was the crystal. Seemed to me that it slightly protruded from the top of the bezel. On the newer version of this watch the crystal is flush mounted and looks correct to the gen IMO. Some have suggested that perhaps the crystal needs a good AR to better show of the 'depth' of the dial. No AR works for me. Another issue in the past versions was the AP logo at 12. I have read that it is incorrect to the gen because of a slight split between the A and the P. In doing my due diligence on the 15300 I have seen a number of gen photos showing the AP logo to have variations depending on the exact model. So to me the slight seperation is not a huge tell in comparing the gen to the rep. In fact I kinda like the look better with the slight split, rather than having the A butt up to the P. FWIW. Additionally, I like the look of the AP logo at 12, rather than the new 15400 RO which has the original look of the dual batons at 12, similar to the original 15202, but then...that's just me. The lume, (I will try and get pictures) is very well done, very clean and crisp. Makes a big difference on a sport style watch IMO. The last rep I purchased was the AP Diver. These two AP reps, the RO and Diver, are very well done. I highly recommend them. I will try and post a few more pictures later, but for those of you that have been on the fence concerning this watch, regardless of dial color, I highly recommend it. I purchased this watch from Josh, and I highly recommend his product, and service. His delivery method is the best. I received this watch in 5 working days. Not like the old days of worrying as to whether you would ever in fact receive a watch, much less how long it would take. Thanks for looking.

  3. Several months back, I bought a pretty nice Tudor 7924 case from another forum member. He wasn't absolutely sure, but he was pretty sure it was a phong case. I started getting a few parts together, and finally a couple of weeks ago, I sent them over to my friend in Texas for a merging of parts aka "build" He isn't quite through with hte watch, but he has sent me a few photos and I'll give you a little taste of what's to come. First off here is a photo of the parts assembled. I sent him a couple of inserts and a bag of crystals, didn't have a clue as to what would fit. Inserts Here is the parts list Dial- Don't have a clue, it came with the watch Case- Probably a phong Movement- Swiss ETA 2783 removed from the donor watch in the photo Insert- One of the MBW 1680 inserts I had around, dropped it in bleach for 5 minutes and that's what it looks like Pearl-genuine tritium hands- Classic Watch Parts gilt aged by Matt crown- Brevet crown from NDT He is aging the hands and when that's done, it's just a matter of putting them on, and caseing the movement and sealing the watch up. I believe that it's going to be OK. When I get it home, I'll take more photos and bring the thread up to date. I'm looking forward to the watch.

  6. I've been stuck at home with a new baby this winter...great in every way except for skiing. I floated the idea with the wife once and it did not go over well. On a watch related note, I also ski with a gen 5513. Not quite as nice.

  10. Having lived with my new 42mm for a couple of days now. Looks great to me from a cosmetic point of view, any minor flaws (and there are a few that others have mentioned already mainly with the omega lettering) are minor enough for me to not have any hang ups about wearing it. Also very pleased how easy it was to adjust the bracelet myself, having read all the old horror stores about breaking pins etc etc - just a few tiny screws and pins to worry about. My only issues are the vagueness of the crown and tube when screwing it back in. Bit worried that may cause some grief in the future, for now it's ok, but I won't be putting this baby anywhere near the water. Also the clasp doesn't give a nice big snap when closing, it's shut but I have a feeling this may work loose in the future. On balance, glad I waited 12 months for the ceramic version, and very happy with Josh's service - order 1st feb, arrived 11th. Not 100% perfect, but not a million miles away.
