  1. 422 will be 2000 pieces not 200, and possibly up to 500 more says the Panerai NA rep I have a genuine 372 and 390, honestly I can and could've bought a 127 ... Yes it's value is great, and will always be so but nothing stirs my soul like the 372

  3. This one arrived today and I'm impressed with how much better the Noob cg is compared to the H Factory's. It didn't come with the original HF cg for comparison but I think the difference is obvious. All I had to do is sink the cg's lever pin a hair below the top surface, next will be polishing the pin that holds the roller bearing in place and I'm done. Slammed on my 1 year-old patina'd Asso and it's good-to-go

  4. Well I've finally done it. After weeks of trawling this site, & as many TD sites as I could, & gathering as much info as I could. I managed to prise the credit card from the bride's iron grip (much to her chagrin about giving out cc details to a Chinese counterfeit dealer), and purchased a Tag Link Jap Quartz with working chrono, from Andrew - "just to test the water" - so to speak. And I have to say it was a smooth transaction. I explained to Andrew that this was my first rep, & he walked me through the process via e-mail. I placed my order mid-morning on a Wednesday my time. And I received my order before lunchtime the following Tuesday, in Sydney Australia. Needless to say I was reasonably impressed, as it can take longer for packages to travel from one state to another over here. Love the watch, it looks & feels the biz & three weeks down the track, all is well. It's keeping great time & I've only had positive comments about it. Ready to get serious now. Bride is at ease (sort of), in fact, I've even got her interested. Might give Andrew another go, or may try someone else. One thing for sure this is just the beginning. I'd just like to thank everyone at RWG for their help - albeit anonymously, through various reviews & forums. I found you guys by accident, & I'm sure glad I did, thanks.

  9. And what 'truth' would that be? Was my above answer not clear enough? What part of what I said about product appearance but refusal to pay the price tag didn't you understand? If I wanted to be wearing a Casio, I would be wearing a Casio. At the moment, I happen to want to wear a Rolex, but am not prepared to pay their inflated price tags, hence why I buy replicas. I don't try to pass them off as gen, so who am I lying to? I know they're replicas, I bought the things, so I can hardly be lying to myself... Can you buy a Ferrari for the same price? Saving money/frugality/cheapness/whatever you want to call it, it's all the same thing... Besides, only cunts drive Audis... The Submariner was released in 1954. In the time since, other than tweaking the design, Rolex has continued to make the same watch, I think it's safe to say that they've long recouped any design costs long ago... As pointed out in American Gangster, "anything else is just greed..." Reps are built from scratch, yet their prices aren't ludicrous... If they were all built from 1:1 original plans, then there wouldn't be all these different versions of the same watch released.

  11. Totally agree pam153, unless the watch was previously owned since new by some super famous diver, actor or some sort of celebrity which would justify the want to keep the worn condition of the watch te be able to say : "Hey mate, that watch looks like [censored], but wait: that was the watch Sean Connery actually worn in the first James Bond !!! I have all the papers to show this, blah, blah, blah...", but let's keep in mind such a watch would sell for something like 200K in Christie's, so let's stay on earth here ! Otherwise, nobody likes to keep the dirt and sweat of the previous owner! The "looking new" doesn't mean factory crisp new : that also is close to impossible -and a real afficionado would never kill the value of a REAL new old stock by wearing it !!!- it means "just serviced new", and that is very different. Slightly tarnished dial and hands, but still super clean, and service quality polished case which is far away from the polishing done by the tooling machines at the factory !!! Ah, once again, let's be logical here !

  12. If the plastic was taken off the rep it would have been harder to tell which is which If you didnt know what to look for, you would have a hard time telling them apart. The AR cyclops is pretty noticeable and its crazy how thick the lugs are on the gen. I like how the rep case looks with the thinner lugs!!! Looks like a very good rep. I wonder if you can swap the crystal for a gen like Freddy did? Dizz
