  1. Are you sure it's 42mm? The bezel might be wrong, but the date position is too far away from the 3'o clock marker... 42mm dials are smaller.
  2. That's a 45.5 mm PO. You can tell by the bezel and date window position.
  3. I'm with you 100%. I am among the more vocal proponents of the Mark XVI and after a few months of enthusiastically posting about it, I highly doubt it will come out. You are not alone in your hopes for the IWC.
  4. If they repped the cal. 1045 I would be all over that. IMHO it's one of the most functional chronograph movements ever--putting the minute totalizer in the center must be a breeze to read! If you know Omegas, one of the grails is the 376.0822, or a cal. 1045 (lemania 5100) with all the features in a moon watch case. I'd love one.
  5. I don't know what goes through the minds of the rep factories. It seems like they focus on anything with a 7750 mov't, >= 44mm, and as colorful or blingy as possible. What happened to the classics??? 42mm PO and IWC Mark XVI and I'd be a happy man. I almost get tired of typing those names because I know it's all for naught.
  6. Great watch! I sold mine a few months ago but now I miss it!
  7. What's the deal? Seller has 1 feedback, and some of the pictures are stock (uses a quartz in the stock pics, auto in the "one for sale"). I'd like to ask him more questions.
  8. Like I've begged for for months now: (pictures not mine) IWC Mark XVI: the perfect casual watch Vintage Omega Seamaster 300 Patek Calatrava A good Seamaster pro case, with all its variants (crown guards, crown guards, crown guards!) An ultimate 42mm PO (the ideal proportions) I couldn't even afford to get all these reps if they were made, but I hope at least one can be.
  9. That's fine, but the price is out of my reach. God, I'd buy a rep of this for ~$200
  10. I think the price is quite good. 23 mins to go and I wish I had an old factory bond SMP.
  11. I think we may have to wait until 2010 for any hope... or this project is dead in the water
  12. Nowhere does it say that it's linked to the US Gov't, it just has an eagle with an American flag on the top.
  13. That looks great! Now I wish I picked up a 42mm when I had the chance. (although I'm still hoping for a U 42 PO)
  14. I'm under the impression that a Swiss 7750 will fit Asian7750s, but the hand hole sizes might be different...
  15. Pics don't work. Is it a rep or gen? I suggest taking it to a watchmaker, you'll need a crystal press and such.
  16. Rolex 3135 inside a BK WM9 sub... the ultimate rep. Perhaps put the rotor on bearings and one up Rolex? haha
  17. Please post a link. Can any of our dealers get this? It should be just a bit over $100 if it's Asian mvt, right?
  18. Beautiful watch. I think I'm starting to get the vintage Rolex bug...
  19. Find the link with the little circle on the inside of the bracelet. Press on the circle and it will pop open.
  20. Yes, the reissue is really happening and going for something in the range of $7-9K. The Ocean 7 homage looks great, if you're into the looks of the PloProf. If I was a diver I'd get one.
  21. There is a thread on this already. I think The Zigmeister said something about 29 jewels not being enough (gen uses 31, and something was said about needing 34 jewels). I've had my eye on this watch (and all 40mm watches... the oversize craze is not my thing), and I can only hope it's correct, but I don't think so. A seconds at 6 is a special thing, apparently.
  22. I was lookin at the WM9 site, and for $530 it looks pretty good... the superlume on the dial is what seals the deal for me. What does BK do in his "garage" to improve them? They seem almost perfect to me.
  23. For $100 it's either quartz chrono or faux, right?
  24. IWC Mark XVI 42mm Omega PO Vintage Omega 300 All can be done. No complications.
