  1. I am considering the purchase of my first B&R rep: BR 03-92 with 42mm case (2836 clone). I like the PVD watches but I am not sure about the PVD quality. What's your experience and finally your recommendation? Should I better go for the ss case? Or is the pvd resistant and durable? BTW: It has been posted several times that the 03-92 rep cases are not accurate (thickness)? I want a 2836 clone version so is there a case out with correct dimensions? AFAIK the 2836 clone has got the same dimensions like the swiss 2836-2, right? I am asking because I have a swiss mvt. and think it would be a good idea to swap for the clone instead of servicing it. Thanks for your ideas!
  2. It's not a big deal to get them in EU. Mine was offered by Precious Time. Just shoot him an email. But delivery time is estimated 3 weeks.
  3. TK - perhaps you could get in contact with me via pm? Much appreciated!
  4. So I assume that rep will be killer. Perhaps it is needing that little fix on the lever. But as soon as it is reviewed here I pull the trigger!
  5. Okay, I see. Yes, I think it will be easy to work on the rep's lever ball to make it more flush. Perhaps not perfect like the gen which is nearly invisible but better like out of of the box.
  6. Hi all, when I noticed the new PAM005 K series offered by our dealers I almost placed my order. But then I saw that the gen 005K comes with a plain lever whereas that new 005K rep has got a roller ball? So what is correct? Do any genuine K series with roller ball exist? AFAIK the L series comes with a roller ball?
  7. Hi forum, I am after an U-Boat watch but as I don't know how a 50mm tank will fit my wrist I wont spend a huge money. So I did the search on alternative sites and found a dealer on ioffer with very low prices. It is quite interesting that he is showing the same watches/ qualities offered by our trusted dealers. So I am not sure whether to order or not. I am concerned he will not deliver a 7750 but a "chrono" movement with calendar function or something else. Same to his other models. I might be wrong. That would be nice because prices are quite good. Here is a link: http://de.ioffer.com/i/AUB012-U-BOAT-THOUSANDS-OF-FEETS-CHRONO-BLACK-SS-7750-50mm-122544209 What do you think? Any experiences with that dealer?
  8. Hi forum, please excuse my ignorance but as I didn't ordered reps for the past months but modded a few and cleaned up my watch box instead I didn't follow the current offers. I noticed the release of the new Breit chrono B1 rep (which obviously isn't convincing) as well as rumours that the ploprof will be released this year. But what's about further reps? Any information which models will be released soon? There are some nice (genuine) Glashütte chronos in the market I would like to see repped... Thanks for keeping me updated
  9. J - would you do me a favour please and measure the diameter of that coronet crystal? I have flying some crystals around, perhaps one will fit the daytona case. Cheers F.
  10. Yes, you are right. The lug holes on the Tudor chronos are not as tight as on (early) subs. But I can imagine that will be a challenging job to drill the lugs Will cost a couple of drill bits....
  11. Very good addition. Now the lugs need to be drilled and your Franken will come very close to the real deal
  12. I am a proud owner of exactly that watch model for about 20 Years. Movement is a Valjoux 7740, Sweeeet!
  13. Not spectacular? Man, that is a nice lume shot
  14. And it's the sunken DW again
  15. @justasgood Is it a franken or the real deal? I am asking because I am going to start a franken Tudor project.
  16. Love it or hate it.... This watch is something special, no doubt. But I am doubting that we will see a close replication with the first batch. The review over on the watchprosite contains very nice high res pics. Did you notice the craftmanship in general and the clear clasp and case back engravings and the bezel lume on the gen? I am expecting a deja vu: V 1 followed by V 2 follwowed by 'ultimate' followed by 'super duper best ever' (to be continued..... )
  17. TeeJay - thanks for the link. I have no clue what kind of mvt. that watch has. I assume it is a quartz? But the case with black bezel looks damn good. JMB - thanks for your info received by pm! No the hunt for a Daytona case begins, please cross your fingers, mates
  18. TeeJay, actually I would like a black bezel better but it is very difficult to find a case (except for the very expensive yuki cases. Phong is expensive as well). If I take an elder newman case -those which came with an 7750) it would be wrong because of the missing crownguard... I can try to remove the polished bezel from a D. rep but have no clue where to source a black bezel which will fit.
  19. Hi, I just noticed your Tudor chrono thread. After cleaning out my watch parts box I am still holding some nice parts to put together some Frankens. I have got all the parts to put together a Tudor chrono including the gen bracelet with right end links. "Only" thing missing is an accurate case. I am considering to buy an inexpensove Daytona rep case but there a a couple of questions and I would appriciate your support: The D.cases are missing the drilled through lugholes. Perhaps this can be fixed with a dremel? Comparing the bezel engravings of all available D. reps I notice that these are different to the gen Tudors with polished bezel. Please see the following pics: Gen 79180: Gen 79280 (Tiger): Gen 94300: I found two D reps (by Jay/ silix and Josh) which might be close but not perfect: Silix: Josh: What would you suggest? I already applied at yuki but as good as his cases are, they are pretty expensive... BTW: Will a D. rep case hold an ETA 7750 with 6,9,12 subdials? AFAIK it measures the same. Bu is a pecial mvt. holder/ ring required? I would appreciate your help to start (and finish) my personal Tudor project. Thanks and all the best F.
  20. Thanks for the quick info. My fault: I already know the lug width of the gen but measures the rep 20mm as well?
  21. Hi all, is the lug width on the Seamaster 300 20 or 22mm?
  22. Great. Helped me out to identify the missing parts to finish my pre-a 02 project. Many thanks!
  23. Good info, thanks. Just pm'ed him.
