  1. Might be the poor pic quality but to me the baton markers seem to be quite different compared to the gen dial.
  2. Congrats! What a monster. I believe it needs a strong character to wear that in public
  3. If you're going through his online store you will notice numbers of these strange pics. In my opinion most of his pvd/ dlc watches look greyish and like touched with fish and chips fingers But: I wasn't disapointed by orders with Josh so far. It is just the bad pic quality...
  4. I am afraid you will not find a rep of this model ever. A new movement has to be entirely developed/ repped. As far as the factories do not fix the sunken DW on the already existing asian 7750 I assume they will not rep an entire movement with different complication.
  5. Noticed it this morning, too. Looks like DLC but actually most of Josh's pics of dvd coated watches do look a bit different.... Would like to see somebody pull the trigger and write a review whith nice pics.
  6. Hi all, I am wondering if reps with asian 7750 and subdial position at 3,6 and 9 will take an ETA 2892-A2 with Dubois Depraz module 2021? It is the module with running sec at 3 and DW at 4,5 position. Would make a nice mod for Breit Bentley, and any chronos with running secs at 3. BTW: The sunken DW will be sorted out as well. Did anybody ever tried a swap? I am appreciating any input.
  7. Didn't get the SA back yet. But received some pics showing the results. Will post them later.
  8. Over on repgeek you will find a member called hijack. He worked on my SA dial including hand set with SL C1 for a total of 75 euro.
  9. Indeed, the rep's dial isn't bad except the raised markers. I am owning an SA V2 with a very nice dial with flat arabic numerals which is very close to the real deal. Sometimes you find reps with rounded numerals. I compared my watch to a gen and decided just to go for a lume job (C1 and flat markers).
  10. I like this watch, too. But I guess it is a fantasy model? I did the search for the gen item but couldn't find it?!
  11. Andrew, do you mean I should go for a V1 case? Or will that need some major modds as well?
  12. Hi there, I figured out that the bezel on my SA (V2) is pressed on. Screws have no function. As well the bezel sits damn tight and it will be a challenge to get it removed. I have been told by some members that the V2 case will not fit the gen bezel because the rep case is different to the genuine case. Other members told me that I will need just an inner mounting ring to get the gen bezel installed. I have a gen bezel in stock but no screws and no inner mounting ring. The sets I noticed on the bay are just containing the bezel and the screws but no inner ring. My questions: 1) Will an entire bezel set fit the V2 case at all? Is the V1 case different (with working screws) and can the prob be solved just by sourcing a V1 case? 2) Does anybody know a source just for the mounting rings and a set of screws? I appreciate any help especially by those members/ modders who already realized the swap succesfully. Cheers and many thanks
  13. Yes, I think a professional should be able to remove the bezel. But I don't know whether the gen bezel will fit or not. How to get this assembled? Will the screws hold the bezel on the rep's case?
  14. Hi all, I just tried to swap the bezel of my (V2) SA for a gen one but the screws seem to be fake and the bezel is pressed on. The rep's bezel sits tight that there is no way to remove it without damaging the case. I have a gen bezel in stock and I read that some members did the swap. Are there different cases in the market? Some with screwed bezels like gen and some as mine? BTW: Because of the bezel swap issues I cant remove the crystal for ar coating... Your help is appriciated.
  15. Actually the gen bracelet isn't just a bracelet. It is art! But indeed you can go with an aftermarket / no name bracelet as well. I would recommend a heavier one. I went for a heavy bracelet and swapped the Breitling deployant clasp of my SA rep bracelet. Looks cool!
  16. There is no bevelled date window as it should be.
  17. pls ask our dealers as I just could source one by chance.
  18. Ooops, that doesn't sound good. I decided to pimp my good old reliable "V3" instead of ordering a V5.
  19. Did anybody on the forum order the Sinn U1 and could post a lume shot please? Much appreciated
  20. Hi there, inspired by gio's great post I decided to pull the trigger and pimped the bezel of my "ultimate" V-XY DSSD. I got this watch from a nice member a short time ago for a veeeery little money. It is a nice watch with a Swiss ETA (as I can judge it is a "swiss" ETA although it might be produced in Asia who know's ). I actually considered this as a try before purchasing the V5 but when I saw gio's thread I decided to safe some money and pimp my V-XY. A dial with bevelled date window is on its way to my home so the watch will be modded continously blue lume and epoxy sealing of the He valve included. I just finished the work and took some pics for you. Please note, that the bezel isn't finally polished yet because I will have to work on the 40 and on the triangle around the pearl again. But it gives you an idea how simple the job is. Simple? Yes. But work carefully and with patience. Here we go with the first step. White matte colour applied to the bezel: After working on the bezel with nail polish remover (do this very carefully otherwise the job has to be done again): It is not easy to work on the triangle. I'll apply additional layers per day to get it dry and in a nice shape. I considered to disassemble the ceramic inlay to work more properly on it but I am afraid I could break the ceramic.
  21. Did you order from ET? Which movement did you go for?
  22. Already posted this over on repgeek: The crown on my Super SA (latest version) doesn't screw in properly. I am not really sure whether the crown thread or the tube is down. Actually it feels like the tube would be too short so that the crown thread isn't getting any contact to the tube thread. I found a link to cousins uk showing different crowns and tubes: http://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/4/661/1975.aspx Does somebody know which tube will fit into my SA? Thanks a lot!
  23. As I want to upgrade my DSSD with asian DG movement: Does anybody know if an ETA 2836 will fit? I have no clue what measurements the DG mvts. come with and what stem will be needed. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
  24. I am already owning an "ultimate" (V3 or V4?) DSSD and as far as I can judge it is recommended to seal the "He valve" with epoxy as shown by gioarmani to avoid damage by water. As I am considering the purchase of ET's V5 I would like to know if the He valve of the V5 is a reliable and working one. Or should I go for an epoxy seal as well?
