  1. Hey friends Thought I'd share a couple of pics of my new arrival, fancied something a little different and I was really impressed with some of the photos I've seen of the 88 so I thought I'd try one and I haven't been disappointed. Was the ideal watch for my relatively unworn Watchboys strap I had been away from the rep world for awhile but the quality and the price of the new Panerai reps is staggering and just to good to pass up. Should have the Fu and the 243 arriving later this month Next I have a favour to ask.....this is my 005k mounted on a Micah Mauser ammo strap which I've worn continuously for the past month However, somehow I've lost a screw to the crown guard If anyone please has a replacement I can either trade the unworn rubber deployment strap that came with the 88 or make a payment via paypal. Many Thanks
  2. Nice pic of your collection. There seems to be so many exciting and great out of the box Pams these days my collection might be going in the same direction.
  3. I'd be concerned about all the dirt and crud that'll build up in the recessed parts of the bezel and case. Other than that and the price, the cartoon comic advertising that's used puts me off the brand.
  4. Hadn't noticed my membership had expired, thanks for pointing that out. Just renewed it Thanks Plymman for the advice re pricing
  5. Hi all Been away from the forums for a bit collecting and persuing gens so I'm a bit out of touch with the rep game. Ive got a hardly worn H- Factory Panerai 005K that I'm thinking of selling. Can someone help out with what would be a fair price in todays market, watch is on the rubber strap that came originally with the watch, its hardly been worn and in as new condition. Would so a search but having problems with my laptop accessing the site. Thanks
  6. Its fantastic to see what you guys have achieved and its got me thinking that it might be fun in sourcing the parts and assembling my own 300.
  7. Hi A regular and established poster on TZUK has posted pics of her new white gold submariner which is now being questioned over its authenticity, what do the experts here think? Points that have been raised: - The indices look too thick - The cyclops magnification seems odd - The pearl position looks misaligned on its triangle - First minute marker on the bezel seems too close to the pearl triangle
  8. Mine arrived the other week, cant go wrong for the price
  9. Thanks for the positive comments! Should have said the dial is gen and picked up from the Sales forum.
  10. Hi all This is my first rep Breitling and I dont think it will be my last (might even consider a gen) I've seen some great photos of the SA and had to try one, its a beast of a watch and I love it. I was a little concerned about its size but was pleasently suprised at how it wears and feels comfortable on the wrist. Not so sure about the bracelet, finding it a lttle tricky to take out a few links (a few little screws just wont budge) If anyone can suggest a suitable leather strap then that'll be a good help.
  11. Another option is the bronze Benarus Moray 2 which will be out shortly, smaller brand but certainly cheaper and a little panerai-esqe. One on the left has already gained that nice dark worn patina.
  12. If you haven't already been accepted by a dealer (and that doesn't guarantee allocation) then you are over a month too late unfortunately. The 386 is the most sought after model and I can imagine many will be resold on EBay, grey dealers and watch forums for £10k+ Hope you manage to get one though.
  13. The thread on TZ-UK descended into a ridiculous argument of trying to compare fake pharmaceuticals with wearing a replica watch. Some are very ignorant and there's no reasoning when it comes to discussing replicas on a gen forum. It's always best to keep the two separate. Was a very entertaining read with some very well reasoned points however.
  14. A nice trio, I need to get a sub. 288 looks really nice
  15. Well, I've happy news to share chaps! I found my 005 on the top of a set of drawers that was set back from under my desk, you couldnt beleive how happy I was to see it again I took my 005 off as I was going to compare it to my 219 that had only arrived that day, didnt have time to do at home so I took both into work. Worked a long night shift and in a rush left the 005 behind (no idea how it was tucked away where it was) Best of all as I was so unhappy over the entire weekend I treated myself to a new 005 and a further $400 of straps. I've since changed the 005 as theres no point in having two and what with the collectors being out of stock to a 253. I've learnt my lesson not to take my watch off at work
  16. Hey all After a frantic search of the house and the office I've given up and admitted defeat - my new 005K is missing. I have a habit of taking my watch off at work but nobody has seen it. It had a fairly unusual Mauser vintage strap, which to a non WIS would think is old and tatty but to me I'm more annoyed about losing the strap than the watch (strap is more or less the same place as the rep) Really cant think where it could have gone. I've ordered a replacement watch from Josh as I couldnt be without one but Its possible that it might surface on a trading site, and a quick google search and someone will think they are going to receive a tidy sum when they see the price of the gen. Im in the UK, so if by chance anyone sees it with the strap please get intouch, its just not knowing where it is and who might have it that bugs me. I also wouldnt like to see it being passed off as the real deal on Ebay or Gumtree. Thanks!
  17. Ordered mine from Josh, the quality of the watch blows me away. The lume is as strong as the gen and the crown lever is crisp and tight. It's restored my interest in reps, i don't miss my gen 005 as this looks and feels like the real deal and it's a couple of grand cheaper! It's a stunning watch that doesn't need to be modded, all I need is a nice OEM strap.
  18. Pictures arent the best as I'm in a bit of rush, I've owned a genuine 005 in the past and on first impressions the watch feels and looks amazing, the lume is very strong and overall I'm really pleased. Will post some better pictures a bit later:
  19. I used telescopic spring bars in my gen 005, made strap changing a lot quicker and easier, no more risk of scratches on the polished lugs. Never had any problems myself.
  20. M8s aren't so gr8 it seems. Its causd a big Pamily fallout with the bro's. Its most entertaining. Read this on another forum which I think sums things up nicely: "I just went on there to have a look and see what is going on, on the front page we have: 3 threads about the new P3000 movement, no real details, just poor pics, in reality this is a basic movement, no frills but being lauded as a great thing, with the price going up by about 1k a watch it's not something i'd go for! About 10 threads from folk who got the dear john emails, all going on about looking on the bright side of it, how it's actually a good thing and so on Another 'P-Day' thread, with loads of pictures of the food they had at a meeting, which seems to have involved a load of middle aged men with goatees and dressed as if they're 20 More tenth anniversary crap, enough bull to choke an elephant, with the usual inane replies"
