  8. I love this model plai!! Its one of my favourite dials.....Is this the one in franciscos tutorial about the blue seconds hand? He did a great job....Looks beautiful on the matching blue stitched strap and on the wrist. Enjoy it in good health......
  9. The only place I came across reps was in the Gold Souk, youre virtually followed by guys whispering "you want Patek, we got Patek".......But trust me nothing to hold your hopes up for....most of the watches are very poor quality and "fantasy" models and theyll be asking for $100/watch........I'd stay stick around here and get one from the dealers...... Good luck though, and have fun in Dubai.
  10. i love it........very beautiful watch....good work on the screws too!

  13. Welcome to RWG KellyD - the place where you get brilliant friendly advice from the start Looking forward to the progress of your red sub.......Sorry im a little inexperienced to give any advice at present But as you can see there are guys who know their stuff here..... Enjoy your stay.
  14. Weird, dont know why its been removed. The guy had: 2 white dials (a Marina for $395 and another for $595) 2 cases (roughly $1,600's about 4 CG's ($500 - $700 ish) A 111h caseback ($395) Ummmm thats all I can remember off the top of my head. Yeah it was pricy - I think the price of OEM CG's are ridiculous tbh. Regards OS
  15. Hi Ddebo......Its like giving birth to a new baby Well done on sourcing all the parts and putting it together.

Cool watch + cool camera = lots of fun. Take lots more.....try a stronger light source? Take a few close ups too Thanks for sharing buddy.
  18. True blue! Love it Zig. Congrats to the owner......
  19. I always admire work like this. Congratulations. Are you going to "vintagize" the case a little? I think a little bit too new for the dial/hands.......Beauty!
  20. Thank you Val.
  21. Interesting thread Zig. Not sure what im taking away from it though........ Are we saying that Grade-A is better than C3? Is there a major price difference between the two (and is it worth the difference?). In respect to the application of lume I think the Helson Shark Diver demonstrates this well. If you look at the dial the lume (C3 Superluminova) is applied quite thinly, but the markers are HUGE...and as a result this puppy GLOWS like a torch, catches ANY light it can, and glows for hourrrrsssssss on end.......Image is unedited.
  22. Blue and white batons Stunning collection of watches. Funnily enough the Super Avengers are prob the only watch (well the Oris Prodiver too) that look too big on my wrist Great collection.....thanks for sharing. *EDIT*: Ive changed my mind.......tried on a SA recently and it doesnt look too big (or thats what im making myself to believe.......I just love the batons)....
