Is your sub a bk? If so the retaining ring will need altering/filing to fit I think.

Thanks, but The bezel sits so flush with the case in not sure I'll fit a watch knife in there.

I'm wondering now Ry if your TC sub has a smaller bezel ring than others, it takes some pressure but not 2 hrs worth! I feel for you. I'd do it for you but I'd feel terrible if I broke anything. May be worth buying a new bezel from TC and trying to fit it onto that first. I know it's more expense but has to be better than the cost if a new insert...again!

Mine is from TC he advertises in the parts section. Very nice with hollow mid links and decent clasp.

There's no set price as they can be sold for as much as the buyer is willing to pay. It's not like they can be ordered from a supplier. Shop around there's bargains to be had. Just as a taster for you, here's my TC with gen crystal and insert.

Congratulations on the 16610. Can't beat gen, but I guess I've only ever been half in love with Rolex so my Franken TC acts like a nicotine patch for me! Great place to buy a watch, guess it makes it that but more special for you.

I think cousins sell those crystals, I had one on my 5513 before I sold it. It looks really good. I like how the NATO stripe matches the indices. Nice touch.

The other thing to bear in mind is that the crown is really hard to see! I had a gen no date sub 14060 and honestly couldn't see the crown for quite some time, catching the light perfectly and it's very small.

I have a gen crystal circa 2000 and there is no engraved coronet.

To my knowledge, Rolex stopped using flat 4s In bezels around 2004-2005 ish,so its not a no no per se, it just depends what era you want your sub to replicate.

Does the gen bezel fit the TC case, I know the insert does. Have you considered gen dial? My next move will be gen dial and shave the engravings from my rehaut. If I decide to send it to a modder for the service I may even go with drilling some lug holes so the case matches the crystal. Im also partial to the lug holes.

My crystal is from a 2000 gmt so no coronet.

Is a gen dial the same size as the rep dial in TC and BK subs? I know the dial feet will need removing but is the date window in the same position, so it can fit over the eta? Anyone transplanted a gen dial into a 16610 rep? Thanks
