    DVD's

I loved Herman's Head ... two stars of the Simpsons snuck into that comedy. Don't forget Flying Blind, another early Fox sitcom ... with Tea Leoni.

    3717

Go for the 22mm ... or at least that's what I was told by Bruce79 when I bought his 3717. He did not include his with the sale ... I ended up with the Tourby pilot strap instead. Here's the original pictures if you want to see what it looks like on that strap.
  4. Which quality are you looking for? There is a huge difference between a WM9 Sub and the Noob Sub. The v3 the OP bought (before the ETA DW's and Taka crystal swaps) would be the rough equivalent of the Noob ... well, slightly better IMO actually, but it's the best base model of the watch. The two mods that have been done (ETA DW's and aftermarket AR) move it up in quality, and IMO are the first logical upgrades one should do to the 3717. Chief's AR is a little better than Taka's from the pics I have seen, but both are better than the standard AR that comes on the v3. The datewheels are a must-do upgrade even if you don't want to go the franken route. The Vaccum (Vac) 'franken' would be the next best version ... or the rough equivalent of the WM9. You get a Swiss engine, Chief's AR and Vac's lume on the dial and hands. The Concepta 'franken' has a lot of gen parts (movement, dial and hands), so it would be the absolute best version you could buy, but also the most expensive.
  5. I have had good luck with my Ralph Lauren and Gucci frames.
  6. Not buying the WM9 YM from BK ...
  7. If you are willing to go to over $800 for one of these you'd be better off contacting concepta and having him build you one with a gen movement. He's got one for sale now at 830 Euros which is roughly another $300 ...
  8. I saw a Movado go for $880 last week, so just be patient ... you'll find one ....
  9. There is one listed there now ... a little pricey but you could make them an offer privately. http://cgi.ebay.com/Chronograph-Watch-Zenith-Automatic-3019-Movement-El-Pr_W0QQitemZ370333304340QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item563995c614 In addition to Ebel, you can also find them in Movado and Concord models
  10. Shaun White was SICK last night in the half-pipe ...
  11. Well, starting one thread on this was probably enough, but you do realize you are on a replica site? Unfortunately, you're not likely to find much in the way of Rolex gens here. They do come up occassionally, but they are few and far between. Even more rare with a HK warranty, or quite frankly any warranty at all since most would not be new enough to still be under warranty. You'd be better off checking out sites like rolexforums.com or newturfers.com ... or one of the other genuine watch forums. It would also help in your 'wanted' posts to be more specific about what models you are looking for.
  12. I'd buy the WM9 YM from BK and take the other half of your money and do something else with it ...
  13. Well, if you are all in your early 20's then I will make a couple more suggestions for hotels. Stay at either the Palms, or the Hard Rock. Both are filled with hot women ... Rehab at the Hard Rock Pool is truly something to behold. Both are just off the strip, but well worth it. Surprisingly, the Planet Hollywood casino was starting to attract some young hotties in the place the last time I was there, so that's another option. The clubs I mentioned are all still good, and you might want to add Pure at Caesars. You will definitely come away with a story or two if you have any game at all. Vegas is definitely a 'target rich environment'. 'After hours', check out Drai's at Bill's Gambling Hall and Casino (or the Barbary Coast Casino as it was originally known) for early morning cocktails, and then head over to the Peppermill, another 'old school' Vegas spot for breakfast (it was in the movie Swingers). For Happy Hour, I usually go over to the Paris Hotel and go to a place called Napoleons in the walkway between the Paris and Bally's. They have a little carving station there and will bring you mini sandwiches for free when you order drinks. Good cigar lounge there too, if you are into that sort of thing. It's easy to live out 'The Hangover' in Vegas ... it can be an adventure ... which is why it's one of my favorite spots ...
  14. The Mirage and Bellagio poker rooms are the best IMO, and if you are looking for high limit games you will need to go there. Entering or leaving the EU requires you to declare anything over 10,000 Euros (or the equiv. in another currency). The US also has reporting rules of anything over $5,000 at most casinos, but either way you would not be prevented from entering/leaving with more, you just have to declare it. I'm sure every hotel can arrange wire transfers back to your bank if you don't want to carry that much cash. Rooms can be had at many hotels on the cheap now. If you are planning on playing a significant sum, I would call over here and ask for a casino host at either Bellagio, Wynn, or Venetian, and tell them what your plans are. They may comp you, and can set you up with a line, or accept a wire transfer ahead of your arrival. IMO those are the nicest hotels on the strip (I say this having not stayed at Aria, which just opened). You will probably get the best deal at the Venetian, and if you are playing a lot, they will comp you when you are there even if you don't call ahead. Also, if you aren't going for a while, go to their websites and sign up for their player rewards programs. They'll e-mail you with offers. Plenty of places to watch shop in Vegas. The Forum Shoppes at Caesars Palace have a huge Tourneau store, plus Bvlgari, Cartier, Chopard, Roman Times, and another place that has AP's (the name of which escapes me now). Most hotels have at least one jewelry store in them that carry at least one or two brands ... my favorite is the large Rolex store at Wynn. There is plenty to do in Vegas if you don't gamble. The Blue Man Group Show at the Venetian is great, as is the Cirque du Soleil show 'O' at Bellagio. Plenty of clubs to hang out at. I prefer Tao at the Venetian, any of the clubs over at the Palms (Ghostbar, Rain, Moon, Playboy Club), and Tryst at Wynn. There are too many good restaurants to name, but if you like Italian, go to Piero's. It's off the Strip, and 'old school' Vegas. If you need more specifics, PM me. I practically live there it seems ...
  15. I bought mine from Eurotimez, but I believe there is only one version, so you should be able to get it from anyone.
  16. Ebel Discovery 1911 Chronograph
  17. Graham and UBoat for me ... can't get excited about anything in either line. Most other brands I can find 1-2 at a minimum that speak to me.
  18. Congrats BT! But you know, with a name like By-Tor Jr. he's going to get teased at school ....
  19. Same base watch. The LV is the Sub with the green insert and maxi dial and hands. The v3 is the standard black Sub.
  20. must ...... stop ..... reading ..... By-Tor's ..... reviews ...... Seriously .... every time I do I want to spend money. Nicely done, as always ....
  21. Sorry, but you aren't going to find one at that price with functioning chronos so you won't have to worry about the seconds at 6 issue. Daytonas are hard to recommend unless you are planning to spend a lot more money.
  22. Do some research around the forum. There are many Daytona discussions to read through that will give you a lot of insight into the available options, including building 'frankens'. You'll also learn about the common problems with Daytona reps, like the seconds at six chronograph movements being time bombs. And finally, use trusted dealers listed here only, or buy from a trusted member. You'll have a much better chance at getting a quality product, once you decide which version you want.
