  1. Never heard of them but the prices that are listed for some of the items seem quite high to me.
  2. If it's for a Datejust, try Stilty.
  3. All of these Daytona builds are killing me ... too many projects I want to start at once ...
  4. I am going Android for my next phone ... assuming AT&T ever gets around to releasing one ...
  5. I'm a big fan of Tumi and Victorinox for laptop bags. For functionality you can't beat them IMO.
  6. My last gen purchase was in a way caused by a rep purchase. I bought the Accutron I reviewed recently to be a donor for an ETA 7750 swap to my 3717. Liked it so much I am keeping it intact and will find another way to upgrade the IWC ... Not sure that I will end up buying the gen version of one of my reps, but buying a few reps and participating on this and other watch forums has given me a great appreciation for watches, movements and the skills necessary to build them. I'm sure I will continue to buy both gens and reps, and no doubt will build a franken or two along the way.
  7. Or in long-hand .... Endlinks are attached to the bracelet using the springbars. When you remove the bracelet you just slide the springbar out, swap the end-link and slide the springbar back in before re-installing ....
  8. My first will be the LV .... waiting patiently for its arrival ...
  9. I believe Selitta was doing a lot of work 'decorating' ETA movements for various watch manufacturers prior to getting into the movement business themselves. The SW200 is the clone of the 2824. The SW300 is the clone of the 2892. The SW500 is the clone of the 7750. Their website for those interested. http://www.sellita.ch/index.php
  10. Still not 100% happy with my 'wristys' but here are my favorites ... My new Accutron. A pair of my Tag Classic 2000 on the links.
  11. I was lucky enough to see Avitt's heads-up on Shnoop offering the Accutron 26C02 Chronograph w/ an ETA 7750 engine. Thanks Avitt! I have to give props to Shnoop. Ordered on the night of the 2nd, and signed for it today. That's great service! On to the unboxing ... Not much (actually no) packing material ... Outer box was in great shape though. Piano Black inner box. First look. NICE! Warranty Card and Instructions were included. Hang tag has an MSRP of $1,025. Of course it's inflated, but still hard to believe I picked this up for $286 delivered ... The watch is quite the stunner. Although I had seen one in an AD, I had never tried one on. It's a 42mm case, and 15mm thick. The guilloche dial texturization is really beautiful. Normally I would prefer this type of texturization on a white dial, but it looks great in black too. Another shot showing the dial texturazation taken outdoors. The watch has decent AR. I've always been bad at determining whether or not AR is single or double, but I'm guessing it's double. Appears to be as good as my BCE and Ebel 1911. Nice onion-style crown, and the pushers feel solid when operating the chrono. There is a display caseback to show off the 7750. Basic decoration on the rotor, which moves freely and starts the watch up from a complete stop very quickly. Rotor isn't totally silent, but much better than most of my A7750's. The strap is a croc embossed leather, with a dual deployment clasp. It's a little stiff out of the box and appears to be 20mm. IMO it's the weakest part of the watch. The obligatory wristy. I know many will think this watch is too small, but 42mm cases just fit my 6.75" wrist well. I'm terrible with lume shots, but the hands have decent lume and there are small dots at the hour markers. Originally I intended to just buy the watch to use as a donor for my IWC 3717, but it's so nice I'm not sure I can bear to do it ... For those of you that also jumped in, I think you will be pleasantly surprised when it arrives. Well done Accutron and Shnoop!
  12. I refer the honorable gentleman to the time of the original post .... Posted Yesterday, 11:00 PM I looked at it this morning, so 'technically' it was tomorrow ... I'm not a bubble fan, but good luck with the sale BTW!
  13. It was on the shnoop.com website last night (in the US). It's sold out now.
  14. Personally, the Ebel 1911 Discovery Chrono rep is so good I can't imagine paying even $1,272 on the Ashford deal for the gen.
  15. I have the v2 bracelet on mine. The gap between the last link and the end link is perfectly parrallel.
  16. I have been a Braun Electric guy most of my life. However, on a recent trip to Vegas I thought I would treat myself to a blade shave and perhaps see if I wanted to make the switch. Off to The Art of Shaving I went. Got the full treatment ... hot towel on the face, straight razor shave by what appeared to be an old school Italian barber... felt like I was in The Godfather. Was very disappointed ... easily the worst shave of my life ... had to go use my electric to get smooth after all was said and done. Needless to say I have stuck with my Braun ...
  17. I was speaking of the UN MMD that Hont worked on getting released. You linked to a Hublot above, so I'm not sure what you mean.
  18. The blue dialed ss version just cam out, so I would think it's just a matter of time before the other flavors hit.
  19. I am looking at one of their 16030's right now. How was the quality? Did the case come in good shape? Also Ubi, nice dial. Have been looking for one of those for ages as the plain silver just doesn't do it for me.
  20. a-and-e-watches always seems to have a big selection of cases and DJ dials. Some no reserve, many with Buy It Now or Best Offer. hitecpro also has them from time-to-time ... he has a 16014 now.
  21. I tried that but it didn't appear to be working ... or at least I got back '0' results. Howver, the forum is much snappier, so nice job guys ... One quick question ... I have bookmarked several of my favorite posts in my web browser, and obviously those links are all dead now. Tried converting the domain name to rwgforum.com but that didn't work. Is there any other easy way to convert the old links, or do I just have to go on a search for all of them again?
  22. The 1911 Discovery doesn't need any mods ...
