  1. Here is mine on a PAM. I love it. I wanted a non-padded band and dark. This fit the bill perfectly and the price was good too. It is the same model you are looking at. Usil
  2. Don't hide them from your wife. You have to get her on board with your hobby. Convince her it is much better for you than other vices. If fact you need to convice her she is lucky you do this. Usil
  3. Posting dealer reviews is important to the members of the forum. It is a moving average - it is a weather vane that measures and marks the current state of affairs of the quality of the current watch models being purchased, the attentiveness by the dealer to provide quick service, the willingness to deal with issues and it notes any significant changes in the dealer's attitude to his clients and his service. They have to be fair reviews and they have to note the good and the bad. I read reviews all the time and they guide me on my next purchases. I find them very useful. Usil
  4. No, that is not the one. I am sure this would have been around last Summer. Usil
  5. That is one great collection. You are a pro at this. Usil
  6. Me too. Keeping posts with pictures and sale price is a great idea. I saw a real estate web site that tracked housing sale prices over the past 15 years. It was intersting but depressing - if I had bought a nice house in Normandy in 1990 it would have cost me 35,000 Euro (equivlent) and today the same houose would cost me 350,000 Euro. Usil
  7. They are so close. I was constantly going back and forth for comparison and marvel at the rep quality. I can see the gen perfection though in the fit and finish. But I don't know if I could justify 4000.USD to get that perfection. Great watches you have. Usil
  8. This, I am told, works well. Registax Usil
  9. It is the tobacco tin. Something from my past - this seems familiar. I think my dad used to have one like it. Usil
  10. If the standard rep was inspected, serviced, super lumed, water proof, saphire crystal and good AR coating I would readily pay a higher price. Why don't the dealers do this? It is not like this has gone un-noticed in our discussions for the past year. Usil

YoYos and watches have a lot in common since they get a lot of wrist action. Usil
  12. I cut this out of a post from last year just in case I needed it. Setting the second hand that no longer resets at 12. (Only works on Quartz) The simplest and cheapest method to pull out the crown to the time set position and then press the top stopwatch button which advances the stopwatch hand one second. If the top button is kept pressed the stopwatch hand advances until the button is released. When the stopwatch hand reaches 12 then press in the crown. Is this a secret that only I know or is everyone trying to drum up trade for the local watchnmenders association. Hope it helps. Usil
  13. It was not on that part of the anatomy. By the way, I have always liked your signiture picture. Usil

The world of YO. I saw Tom Smothers of the Smothers Brothers do this with a YOYO. He was good and it was entertaining with his comentary against his brother [censored]. Usil
  15. A sale matches a seller and buyer. Some prefer the used watch because it will have already passed inspection. Compare that to a rep from a dropship dealer and I would take the used watch any time. It many cases, it does not make any difference if the price is a little higher since as long as the buyer accepts the offer - two people make the deal. It is a win - win situation. Usil
  16. You guys scare the hell out of me every time you take your reps into an AD. Why do you take the risk? Usil
  17. Furious hands... I saw a rep last year that was described as having the most hand action on a dial of any watch we have seen on the forum. It might have been TTK but I am not certain. Anyone know the watch I am talking about? Usil
  18. The addiction is real and the only cure is to buy more reps. But you found the right group for support. Usil

  20. Andreww: I have a PO gone back for lots of problems, threads being one of them. Just so I know, in case my replacement has the same thread problem and I decide to keep it, exactly what did you shorten to make this work? Usil
  21. That looks pretty good. The case would probably be the real bugger. Would the polished case look too out of place on the brushed bracelet? Let us klnow if you try it but you will have to dissasemble the watch so as to not scratch the crystal. Usil
  22. Yeah, it's obvious when you look at it. Bad luck and it sucks to have to send it back again. I agree with r11co - see if you can get a new dial. This should be an easy change or take it to a local watch repair shop. But before contacting Trusty check the following: Is the perl cocked? Does the He valve turn (loose) - should be tight. Does the crown screw on and off cleanly? There have been a lot of quality issues with this model. It is great watch when everythign works. Usil
  23. As I viewed the pictures, one after the other, I thought - why did he take the crystal out? That AR coating is fantastic. Ok, that's it. I am making an order. Usil
  24. I hate these - it takes me away from my real job too long. Seriously, these are fantastic. Usil
