  1. In US law, possession of a counterfeit watch is illegal if that person can be considered to have intent to trade or sell it for goods and/or services, including barter. Beyond that, possession isn't illegal in the US. However, what happens once you give it to the trademark holder willingly, is what we're discussing and I don't think anyone here really knows the legality, no matter how loudly they shout that they do. We all know that if a policeman takes a counterfeit $20 off you, your property rights mean absolutely nothing, for instance. I'm going to wait and see what happens. I know what would happen here in France, and it wouldn't be pretty.
  2. I too have a Juwitz watchbox or two. If you're in Europe, it's an excellent deal. Brown 12-watch box Black 6-watch box The 12-watch box also makes an excellent photographic background
  3. Not here, no.
  4. Precious Time and Narikaa. I'd recommend both.
  5. Your shots are ok and you don't need Macro. You just need to fix the lighting if you want us to help you evaluate the watches
  6. No, but you need to soften the light to make the details on the watches easier to see. Try making a light tent or holding a pillowcase between the light and the watches.
  7. You want the watches or the photography critiqued?
  8. You're right. I'll not buy one of your decorated movements for my Panerai. You just saved me some money!
  9. Sure? It's a conspiracy and Davidsen deliberately put an error in?
  10. In terms of accuracy and smoothness, they're identical. The only real difference is the 2836 has a day wheel and is slightly thicker.
  11. If your wrist is 7", then it's bigger than mine. I don't feel like a PO is too big, and because of the PO, I can now wear a Fiddy. My 187 arrives soon so hopefully that'll finally give me something that feels silly and oversized. I don't wear suits, but my brother does and he wears nothing but his 45mm Orange PO, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
  12. Like this one?
  13. Good choices. The Fortis watches I saw in Bangkok changed my mind completely and since then they're right up there on my list of potential first expensive genuines. I admit to liking the Oris as well, but if I were after a diver, I'd equally be tempted by the Swiss-powered Orsa Sea Angler. You can get two with your $1000.
  14. I have a 6.75" wrist. I don't look like any more of a fool than I normally do with a PO on. However, I don't have any zoomed-out photos ... and now I do. Excuse the quality, but light is hard to come by in the quantities I need. PO:45mm 111:44mm
  15. Yeah, but surely some of the cash goes to Navy benefits or something. ps. Yes, sweet watch.
  16. Eek! You need specialist tools: It screws off. Like Ubi said, it's close enough.
  17. A big flat thing. I'll post caps of that tonight, too.
  18. I think I'd do a 616 project before even considering a c240 one. That way, if it fails, you're not a few grand down, and if it doesn't, you've learned some new skills that'll put you in good stead for an Angelus job.
  19. British settlers took St. Valentines Day to the US in the 19th century, so we've had it in Europe for a while. The feast of St. Valentine was first decreed in 496, for instance. I would buy her a new watch, apart from she'd be annoyed I spent money on something she already has when she would rather it went towards our moving house. In a few months, we will have zero disposable income and you may well see me putting watches up for sale just so we can eat, so I can understand.
  20. Mine is flaking out from time to time. I've stopped wearing it, but I'll return to it soon and report back.
  21. I removed the back from my Il Fidderino to regulate the time and the O-Ring was put in wrongly and a bit beaten out of shape. I lubed it, rolled out the wobbles and put it in the groove in the case and screwed the caseback on and it seems to be good now. I reckon you may have the same sort of thing.
  22. Do you know, I had that exact same thought.
  23. http://www.orolus.com/cgi-bin/ShoppingCart...mp;search_logo= $ 1059.00
  24. Was that another one on the desk behind it?
