Ah, Team America, World Police.
Yes, of course you have to go and fix this with your military might, unlike all of the other international incidents that had nothing to do with you that you left rightly alone.
You called for democratic elections like yours and they copied yours right down to the Florida method.
Politics. Best leave them alone.
Cheers, mate.
I've got a little corner of a room to set up a light tent on now. Hopefully I'll take a few more shots on that metal surface.
ps. It's blu-tack holding the watch up. I should use Rodico, but ...
Now ask some dude's wife. He bought her a brand-new car and she has no idea what it is. He spent hours choosing the right specs, she chose the colour.
Rolex dude may not know what he's got, but if it's real, someone knew.
I disagree. If you bought it, you'd do the research. If it was bought for you, why bother?
Ask people what car they own and someone will answer "A blue one."
You need to care to know there are different models and that it's even worth finding out.
If I were a complete noob with a few bob spare, I'd buy a Panasonic Lumix LX3 or (second choice) a Canon G10.

Of course, there are SLR options for the non-noobs (whatever Canon/Nikon you can afford), but it's not an option for a complete noob.
Just my opinion, of course.
A friend of mine just returned from Thailand with a rather nice BR02. Asian movement, mineral crystal, etc, but very nice. However, his missus dropped it and the crystal has broken. Anyone know where to get a replacement? Ideally, an AR-sapphire replacement would be best, but a mineral will do.
Ideas?
Technically, his photos were top notch. The skills he used were learned, not bought.
However, he's not in this competition, so it's a moo point. A cow's opinion. It's moo.
Aww, shucks!
I'll be back properly at some point; it's hard to imagine never returning to the forums.
That would have been this one, taken in May 9, 2006, back when I was still learning how to photograph watches.
As I was watching Castle last week, I noticed the female lead, Stana Katic, appeared to be wearing a Radiomir, like Mrs Pugwash wears when she needs a watch. So, in honour of that, here's my 183. It's a Silix case, dial and hands, aftermarket crystal (from Ubi's spares box) with Jakub AR and an Ajoesmith Asian movement on a 187's rubber strap. This was one exposure at f1.8 taken at our local cemetery. Click to embiggen.
