  1. It was first referred to here on RWG as SFSO, but we realised it should be SOSF and started using that term instead.
  2. Let me put it like this: I've not changed mine yet. I have the ETA wheels in my toolbox, but I've not been compelled to do the swap yet.
  3. Well, you can still try the hosting company, even if I'm sceptical. They may well have been stupid. Wiseman's advice is solid, too. Get Interpol in on it. I have a friend who got scammed over a laptop in the US. The police eventually got the guy. Oh, and have you tried the site he advertised the watch on? They'll have IPs which should point to a location and time.
  4. I heard he was Snake Plisken.
  5. Coo, maybe I can pop in here at work now ...
  6. Oh yes, they are indeed. SOSF is still a yardstick against which all non-chrono reps should be measured.
  7. I'll be wearing mine on the black leather strap.
  8. :o :o :o
  9. ... and they'll then say that the server was compromised and it's just a next-hop caching Proxy to China or Korea. Either that or it was ordered over the internet using a dodgy credit-card and it'll be closed next week. username@blackbook$ curl -s -I 83.98.189.184 | grep Server Server: Apache/1.3.39 (Unix) PHP/4.4.7 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.30 OpenSSL/0.9.7a So, an off-the-shelf commodity UNIX server running all the stuff you'd expect: Interesting ports on 83.98.189.184: Not shown: 1013 filtered ports PORT STATE SERVICE 20/tcp closed ftp-data 21/tcp open ftp 22/tcp open ssh 25/tcp open smtp 53/tcp open domain 80/tcp open http 110/tcp open pop3 443/tcp open https 953/tcp closed rndc 993/tcp open imaps 995/tcp open pop3s Device type: general purpose Running: Linux 2.6.X OS details: Linux 2.6.5 - 2.6.11 Uptime 31.281 days (since Sun Aug 31 12:32:50 2008) You're not going to get there via the domain or the server. This is a well-practised scam.
  10. I've not got one ... yet.
  11. On a PC, VirtualDub is the one I'd use. http://www.virtualdub.org/index.html
  12. I'd not worry until it dies. That could be a very long wait.
  13. DUCKROLL!
  14. 1337 ... Google it.
  15. Not unless you send the funds to Africa. If you're sending WU to a European (or Asian, I believe) country, all you need is the code number.
  16. Lindsay Lohan's girlfriend wears a Sub, as do lots of other women.
  17. Listen, you [censored], I don't own a TV. Idiot.
  18. If you're looking for me shouting at Dani for spoiling my most important sporting result of the year, you'll see it over on RepGeek. Any chance we can have a forum rule banning the disclosing of sports results in forum topics?
  19. Shame it doesn't mention the three different ST19s. You can see loads of Sea-Gull movements here.
  20. You have PM.
  21. He was the one the Sun famously told to "Sling your hook".
  22. 20mm:
  23. Really? Do you not read the same press as the rest of us? This was supposed to be the best of the best; the iPhone leveller, the proof that open-source is the best answer, the true second-coming. The more I think of it, the more cheated I feel. It looks like a Linux version of Windows Mobile. It looks like they let developers do interface design, unfortunately. All hype and no trousers. 6/10, could do better. ps. If this cannibalises sales, it'll do so from Windows Mobile, which can't be a bad thing. Let's see.
