  1. One problem with all conspiracy theories, especially the ones presented here, is that the people that believe it usually believe some other stuff you simply don't want to be part of. CIA mind control, Roswell, Lizard Men, etc. If you don't believe the 9/11 [censored] in Zeitgeist, how can you possibly therefore believe the guy when he goes on about the Federal Reserve? It's just a few steps away from then going into full-on anti-semetist "It's the Zionists" aka "let's gas the Jews" which you may get dragged into if you buy the lot wholesale.
  2. Isn't it? If the Federal Reserve part were true, we'd not have had the recent financial crash. Think about it.
  3. I tried to enter the last one, but my paypals got refunded twice. Then, by the time I was ready to enter again, it was over.
  4. Where did the vermouth go? Did I miss it? I tend to pour the vermouth in with the ice then strain it so it just lightly flavours the ice. Then add the gin. Oh, and I prefer stirred, but I'd definitely like to try one of these Red Devil martinis.
  5. Um, apart from the lume, of course
  6. I'm going to bump this as people keep asking what the best out-of-the-box replica is. Hint: it's this one.
  7. This auction? http://pugwash.info/vintage.php
  8. I'm too poor to be overly affected and not poor enough to starve. I suspect most people are in my position. I have a roof over my head and, as long as I don't lose my job, the financial crisis will be something I observe from the outside. I wish I were well-enough off that I had a portfolio to be affected, but I'm not. ... and I can never, ever sympathise with people like this: http://cat5.org/pages/banker-wives.html
  9. If we're going international, we need to decide on size before we go any further. Standard paper sizes differ the world over.
  10. Wow, someone is underestimating the quality of the JLC/DD movement. It's much rarer than a 2894, and it's basically not a crappy movement in any way. In the next post on the blog, the guy goes on to tell you having a basic ETA in your watch is a good thing. I smell controversy-posting for hits.
  11. It's a copy of a watch that doesn't exist.
  12. I use a Canon EOS400D with the stock lens. Before that, I used a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ20. Any modern SLR will do, to be honest, but you're best off with a Nikon or Canon for the breadth and quality of lenses.
  13. PDF workflow is the answer, regardless of whether or not you want to release it as a PDF publicly. If you're after the best tools for the job, you need Adobe InDesign. It's the only realistic solution. Oh, and CMYK images, please. Please, whoever does the final compositing, please ensure you've got a calibrated colourspace.
  14. Are you using the AOL browser? If so, that'll be the issue. If you installed the stuff on the AOL CD, you're probably using their browser. Change to Firefox. Oh, and no, it's not MTU. If it worked one day and not the next, and nothing else has changed, it's got to be their stupid proxy/infrastrucure.
  15. Yeah, it's growing on me. I can forgive that cushion. ps. You made me get an orange Monster all those years ago. Don't make me start lusting after something unobtainable.
  16. Good luck! Don't forget to post some pictures when it arrives.
  17. I've not seen them sold with gen ETA movements. Yes, you can fit a gen ETA into the case. One of the hands will be a tight fit. The Asian 7750 is 'good enough'.
