  6. The problem with attacking a rep with and sort of abrasive is that it looks to regular, try the coin method, of keep it in your pocket with your keys for a day or two. Bear in mind your sub is a 2008 and you only want to a 2 years worth of aging!
  7. I have to say i only have one that is not currently working and that was the fault of me sending it to the wrong place. I have had some problems with a slipping hand on an asian 7750 The 28xx style movememnts be from eta of other factorys are all still working I have never had a watch fsail to be water resistant to the degree of a shower and i have swam in most, Althought i dont wear chronographs in the shower. Please bear in mind that i am capable of rectifiying small faults on my watch and a bit of modding, i check my gaskets and make sure my crowns are screwed down. The faults i have dealt with are Lume falling out of rolex dials once Crapped out asian movement in a bell and ross after 18 months (changed for a myota) Dropped watches and hands coming loose once and slipping hands on a 7750 Apart from that i have had good luck The problem is you can never tell, I have taken time to buy what i have reasearched as being reliable complications, I had a porto with seconds @ 6 in my early days and that was fine and i hear still is.
  8. if you tell me the size of the current crystal i will tell you what is avaiable from Boleys in plexy domes
  9. The same movement that homers have
  10. Loctite 272 will do the job for you if this is the problem, be awarwe this is not superglue and that is not what you want to use, 272 is a thread locker.
  11. yep movement tab, and as said above it should have a screw with it
  12. The movement size was not the problem but the thickness of the dial, i plann3ed at first to use a sandwitch but then went for a sausage as i thought it would be thiner, non was a solution as the case was made for a dial no thicker than .75mm. not the 1mm plus of our pams
  13. Or just buy a swiss version, by the time you have bought a movement hands and dial feet/dots or a new dial, possibliy a new movement holder you might as well upgrade with a new watch, but if you want to lean it would be a great project to start with, you may need a date wheel overlay as well.
  14. A couple of quality watches to start with there! looking forward to seeing them
  15. you used to be able to get a 212 with the seagull as standard, and a lot of the radiomir chrono had it in as well
  16. I have never heard of a mod for a 6497 with GMT, I am sure it is possible but whether it is worth it????
  17. A forth for BOB, go direct to waccex.de or contact him via his section the straps section of the board but you may as well go direct to him, real nice straps, i am wearing one right now!
