Welcome, i belive that the rep has saphire same as the gen, i doupt that the hardness can be tested to see wether it is harder but it would be easliy good enough.

I expect we have been recieving these movements for some time now any way, what i would like to see is a breakdown comparison between an Asian and a swiss from a reputable dealer like cousins and see if there is a tell because from what i can see they are the same. How do we know now that we are getting a swiss (chiss, swiense) ETA that came from ETA machining or the asian. If they are the same though i dont care as long as i dont get ripped off and sold one insead of the other but would i ever know. The one differece i can spot though is the jewel retainer in the balence [censored] but i have seen different ones in true ETAs aswell,

The fault i see there is with the 12/6 subdials, on the gen the numbers almost touch the silver ring of the subdial but on the rep they are spaced a little further in, although this is a flaw it is small and unnoticable, yes the people here will shout and cry about 0.010 of a mm but in the real world you will be paying 10% of the price for 90% of the watch and lets face it it is a great looking watch. You could install a gen date wheel or a swiss 7750 but if you got it serviced by Ziggy it should be just as good as the gen! My 2cts

They sell basicasly the same stuff when i comes to subs except silix does not has the soposedly perfect ultimate whatever models. I think the question is who to deal with, as we say here first chose your supplier and then your watch. Time spent researching is never wasted. I could point out a few instances but will let you find them your self.

I too have a 7inch wrist and find that 125/75 straps can be a bit to short if they are very thick, although they fit and fasten up i would like and extra 10-15mm on the end, i have made a few straps and the next one will have the extra i want.

Well i worked out the time month and GMT time and found the day night indicator but cant see the date any where
