  1. The markers are not flared at the ends on the subdials. What models had this option?
  2. What does the author mean by short and long stroke "E"?
  3. I guess it is time for me to do some more 1680 research...... I might even sell my watch with the valjoux 7734 and give up the 7032 idea.
  4. There are tutorials on here. It would be best if you do not have to remove the bezel. Your model probably has a wire that goes all the way around and it is hard to get off. A new insert will more than likely have to sanded smaller to get it to fit.
  5. I am still learning but heck i could see that watch was a rep right away. The crown guards and the no ledge at the top of the rehault are dead give aways.
  6. That is very interesting. Wonder if some V72s can be found at Estate sales. How do you guys find out about Estate sales in your area?
  7. Great deals! They are out there it is just finding them.
  8. Cool idea! It is your birthday as confirmed on you info page
  9. Great job M! A truly exciting build and wonderful pictures. The project is great but you passion for he watch is what put it over the edge.
  10. Outstanding! I love my 7750 version but I would love to have a v72 version one day. With the way prices are going up I might sell my 7734 movement and look for a v72.
  11. Ubi they all look great! You have been as busy as a bee!
  12. The cheapest you will see a V23 for is about $350. I found someone that had one for sale about a month ago at that price on a watch forum. The problem is that many V23 and V72s require servicing and that will run you another $300.
  13. Marty the sub looks great! I have a Euromariner with a V3 superluminova dial. I would like to adjust the crown guards, get a gen crown or a newer bk crown and a gen insert.
  14. I have a Euromariner with a BK super luminova dial. I need to have the cg's shaved and a gen crown installed. Can you give me some suggestions via post or pm as to who would be good to do the job in the U.S. Thanks!!!
  15. Remember most people have never seen one. Also, it does not look like a typical Rolex. It looks like an old watch. My friend likes it because it does not look like a sub which is very identifiable.
  16. The one with the white dial is the EE. It has a deeper caseback.
  17. Here is a Ubi comparison: EE vs DW
  18. Very nice! Do you wear it often?
  19. It just goes to show that I am still a padowan!
  20. Well....... I will take a guess. First I must say that the watch looks great so it does not matter. To me it looks like a genuine folded link band and a rep dial. I think the red "submariner" should not be as wide as the text below it. I think the dial looks great!
  21. We really do not know yet. Time will tell.
  22. Flex I look forward to seeing how that dial works out. Where did the dial come from?
  23. Freddy did you paint and then buff the surface?
  24. It will be impossible to build a super sub with a noob case. Granted the case is good but the way the crystal mounts is different. There is a visible ledge underneath around the edge of the crystal on a gen. The noob does not have that. Instead it looks like a plastic white ring. To me this is a dead give away. To get this ledge you need a WM9 (any version and also BK versions), Euromariner or MBK.
