I have a 7734 movement in good working order. What is the most inexpensive place to get a decent 7032 case/ Is it Yukiwatch and what kind of price are we talking about?
My large second hand resets to about 3 seconds past the top. I thought maybe it slipped so I took the hand off and reset it. It still did the same thing. The I did it again this time my hand was not quite as steady and I put it at two seconds to the left of the top. Well it still reset to 3 seconds past the top. What could be the cause of this?
Thanks for the information Freddy. Mine has C-clips. The pusher screws but does not move relative to the pusher. Screwed in to it stops or screwed out until it stops it looks the same. What do you think about that?
I have yet another DW 6263 (it is a long story and yes the other one is in great health) and the top pusher screws in but it is not in. I know there are c clamps on the inside. Could it be that I will have to replace the pushers? I hate to have to spend $100 at Ofrei. I wonder if there is another alternative. Besides that someone would have to do it because I do not have the die to tap it.
I guess there must be some variation in where the holes are drilled on DW cases. I am having a time getting the band back on. Does anyone every sand the end pieces slightly or make the holes bigger or any other adjustment to help in such a case. I usually do not have this much trouble
I have an opportunity to purchase a valjoux 23 in good running order for a reasonable price. I already have a DW 6263 with an A7750. I was wondering the following:
1. What are your thoughts on the valjoux 23 vs A7750? I know the sub dial spacing should be on the money and that is a very good thing. Of course the hour totalizer would have to be fixed in place but who needs it anyway? I wonder if the valjoux 23 would be more robust. Any opinions are greatly appreciated.
I guess I would use the DW case that is made for the mystery movement. Would the dial be the same as the ones used for the valjoux 72?
I do not think the Paul Newman 6263 with the white face and the screw down pushers said Daytona on it. Also the crystal unless of the old type is not a gen tropic #21. LHOOQ is right about the lume dot. That is a dead give away. The pushers look rep too.
