yeah turns out we don't have that much power after all
-
why is there a rep of a BS brand - i.e. millionsmart watches this is really funny http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1839 oh, and the 1k big bang 666 edition - one thing that is amazing though was the prototypes of the graham on angus' site
-
i think i own those pants
-
AMAZING photos - i love the one with the blurred buckle in the foreground, i have never seen one of those - way to be original
-
i buy online from reputable and established stores - now that i know watchmakers ect, the warranty doesn't mean much - especially if its automatic, the servicing is more expensive than the warranty is worth. its cheaper just to take it to my watchmaker

The continued Golden Age of Reps and diversity amoung dealers

josh, does both drop shipping and direct shipping - Basically all the dealers do that. - I have had stuff shipped directly from josh to me, and also drop shipped - Trusty used to have all his stock personally before he took off with the big website. but you can tell cause the factories pack all their stuff the same way -

that site is awesome

nice writeup I continue to say that the tourbys especially the unbranded ones are the best bang for the buck on the watch market - not the rep market, the ENTIRE watch market
-

1 - don't fool yourself -we never knew what movement we were getting unless your an expert or sent it off to The Zigmeister a Great tip though is if on josh's site there isn't even a photo of the movement - and just the caseback - then its not even pretending to be as advertised i like the obscure brands but man there is WAY more to do how about a Zenith a Ulysse Nardin - lots of cool stuff out there. I don't even worry about AR anymore - what we can get is better now anyway here, the steelfish by the way, is a SUPER awesome rep, one of the best of all time, and best AR i have ever seen - from the factory. one of my favs - my crossfranken is going to be super awesome my wife's holy grail just hit with the happy sport square chopard rep. -
very cool design - many impressive straps its amazing what RWG has become

So, i was just perusing the dealer sites and i noticed that for the first time since i can remember its not the same models on everyones site. king, silix, josh, angus, actually have different models available - for the last year or so, if i wanted to keep up with what was coming out i just had to check out josh's site. Of course, there are the different "makers" and there has been lots of talk about it. Its really hard to keep track because its hard to get straight answers, but - so far, everytime i have gotten something from josh, it has been quality, he has also told me, when i have inquired about a model if he thought it wasn't up to par. - I haven't had a relationship with josh for about a year or so, ever since the whole "cartel" thread but - in moving around, i have learned that king and silix definatly don't mind selling "lesser" models- and often the prices might reflect that - sometimes they don't - i wonder that because there are SO many new hot models coming out that some of the sites don't feel they need to keep up - or are there really suppliers that dealers don't want to deal with. I dunno - on the golden age thing - man, the models have gotten to a place i never imagined that they would.

PVD! Hmmmmmmm That could be bad ass
-
you can cut the buckle

the biggest difference is machine made vs. handmade hktan's straps are 100% handmade The style, thickness, stitching sides - doesn't make much of a difference - quality of the leather - type of leather, makes difference some straps are over priced I don't like bob straps - they are stiff, and thin Panatime has some Great straps for the same $$ Smat/ pam2pam has great straps V's are some of my favorites i have 1 HKtan and 2 more on order A good strap, and Good AR can take an average watch and make it Extraordinary!

i'm on severe watch restriction but i have to get the Zeniths if come out
-
i like it, but, doubt i will be able to afford it and, i like the smaller numbers - i'm into minimalist dials - but, its looking good
-
does that 111 have a palp crown? and is the lume really that white? and did it come that way from the dealer?

if you read the first paragraph of my post it said "this thread topic was well thought out" - i went on to say, there are lots of rediculous thread topics that always cause a snappy answer to come to mind. i actually didn't think my response was all that snappy - i thought it was kind of funny - maybe it was just me You don't have to really earn anybody's respect if you don't like. Youl still get your questions answered, especially if they are well asked as this one was. - Of course, i forget that we made The Zigmeister's section VIP only - so, i guess that part wouldn't have been obvious to you. I've been doing this awhile and the whole, pay for additional content is new. were a pretty friendly group - unless you come in and ask for The Best Place to buy a Sub - Or, frankly any brand for that matter these days
-
me personally, i don't make mean comments, just funny ones - usually because of crazy topics. - This topic was well thought out - except for the fact that there are over 10k members registered on the site and the site has TONS of action - i doubt there are 10k watchmakers in the world - at least ones that are interested in fake watches - and know how to use the internet. - this is if you don't count the thousands of people making 5 cents a day in china putting together canal street rolexes Also - a quick review of the outline of the forum would show that we have special sections for watchmaker guys and services - and reading any thread by The Zigmeister would show that most of us say how cool it is we have someone to explain this stuff to us. in addition - dude has his question answered so - I felt free t make a funny cmon don't you guys read those ridiculous thread titles and have a snappy answer.
-
cmon arch, no need to get personal. if what he thought was true, was true it would be good to bring up. But, now that folks have taken a look, he should just correct the mistake
