  1. I'm with UB7...but, I wore my SS DayDate President on my wedding. Very classy...and everyone loved it, that saw it. Especially when raising my glass for a toast.
  2. I know this thread has been talked up enough, so I'll just say...you're thinking too much on the matter. From experience sake; I've been there, done that, and forgotten about it. I suspect, in a years time, you'll be thinking of someone else. If you chase after it...it will run away. If you forget about it...it will come back...no matter who it is. I would like to comment on Rasta's post: Man, you hit the nail on the head. I was born in the south, raised as a gentleman, and it took me 37 years to find my wife. A wife that was brought up in the same manner. My father used to say: "If you let her in the car, watch as you walk around the back to see if she unlocks the door for you...if she does, she's the one for you". (I know, I know, today we don't have those type of locks) All throughout high school and college, I had many "bad-girl" girlfriends that initially loved the respect...but, in the end, couldn't handle the respect...they couldn't understand it. The bad boys seemed to get all the action...and I played that role for years, but never really thought that was right. For years, I've watched society turn into what you described above. No chivalry, no common courtesy...generally a lack of respect on all counts. My parents have been together for 40 some odd years and divorce was never a question. Just like my grandparents. Those days are gone, my friend. Just look at the divorce rate today. As you stated...I fear for my children. I just hope I can teach them what I learned...if possible. Just my 2 cents.
  3. Well, there are thousands of images to post...but, this is just a few. My pics will come later. The City that Care Forgot: NOLA
  4. Stunning...one of my favorite watches...and on my wish list. I even liked it before the modding.
  5. Nope...not fair...now I want to see this. I bet I can top it...whatever it is.
  6. Very nice car. Back in high school, I had my eye on a Mustang Fastback and/or a Camaro SS as my first car. I didn't get either...and I regret it. RESTORE IT!
  7. Stolen by the TSA , June 07 I miss it.
  8. Hey There Deep1! Welcome to another fellow Laweezianan. I'm in Katrina Central. Good to have you.
  9. Wow...she really skitz's out at the end there. I think I met her once at a Slayer concert in the 80's.
  10. Congratulations to TRC I've been around since the first RW1, but never have I been over to TRC. I always read about it on posts or even tried clicking links only to be thwarted with a "must sign up" message. I just never did...I found Eddie Lee without it.
  11. Classic!! Think I can download that to the iPhone?
  12. Well, I'm recently married...Now, I'm thinking of building a "man cave" in my back yard. Does that count?
  13. Yea, that's my thought...since I have so many watches, and I plan to have more, it only makes sense. And I'm tired of having some yahoo at the watch and knife shop charge me $10 to remove a damn pin.
  14. Wow, that's bad. And it's beat to hell too. It looks like the bidders have below avg intellegence as well.
  15. Nice price too...I think I'll get one.
  16. Well, I'm off of work early today, so I decided NOT to post in here.
  17. LOL! With that picture, it looks like she might be selling something else other than her I.T. Skills and a nice DJ setup.
  18. Ahhh...just beautiful. Reminds me of my scubba day on my honeymoon in Maui. However, my pics are still in the camera. Nice!
  19. Well, since I've returned to the board after a long time, I'm just seeing this thread. I'll BE SURE not to post here. I can see that it's very important not to.
  20. Glash
  21. My Post-Katrina Chronoswiss "gift" gets a lot of attention...plus, it's a good conversation piece. And then I get a lot of "I didn't know Rolex made a green watch" from the uninformed crowd.
  22. Hey Admin, Welcome back...as well. I'm just returning from a long hiatus myself...I've been gone so long that I even lost my "supporter" status. But, that will be changing soon. Well, I jumped in with both feet...and I'm already awaiting my first (return) acquisition.
  23. OUCH! I KNOW this feeling well. But, Nanuq, I'll make you feel better: After my honeymoon, I returned home from Hawaii to realize that my baby was STOLEN by TSA. However, I blame my lack of attention. When packing, I ended up putting it in my checked luggage...when I thought I had it in my carry on. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID. The locked bag was unlocked at the final destination. All I have now is this picture: http://www.bonddesign.com/watches/Col1.jpg ...and my search continues for the exact copy...but, I am still having trouble finding it. It seems my favorite dealer is no longer with us. (sigh) So, I hope YOU feel a little better. Good luck with the nakedness today.
  24. Wow...very nice "Omeeegas", as James would say. The closest I have is the Seamaster GMT and I love it. Also, I like your "Not forgotten" collection. What happened to the Tudor?
  25. Wow...that sure is a beautiful collection. Great pictures and descriptions. I miss my obsession...I haven't been able to "increase" my collection lately, but I hope to change that soon. My old LV is about dead. I need a new on like yours. Veeery nice.
