I also wonder what the pessimism is all about. Do you remember what we were raving about two years ago?? Today's reps are heads and tails above them. I too complain about the price, but I live in the US so I'm always complaining about the price of things that come from abroad. Price aside, I still have my enthusiasm for the current crop of reps. I wish I was starting out now, Instead of having 70+ reps that are at least a year, and sometimes 5 years old. My collection would be extremely accurate. There are still a ton of great reps for under $250. I was still happy to pay $400 for a great Pam rep 2-3 years ago! So from my point of view, reps have gone up like everything else, but comparatively speaking, they're still a great deal! Maybe the pessimism comes from Overload?

Finally, A great review of a stunning watch. By-Tor, I've been waiting for this. Your taste in watches is excellent and so is your review.

You guys have been great contributors. I read all the reviews but rarely comment (although I should). I might visit twice a day, but am usually rushed cause I never have enough time in my day. Don't let the fact that your reviews are not appreciated. They are.......Big Time. As for all the new members, isn't that a good thing?

I'm still gonna enjoy mine, all the comments aside. This is extremely close to the original in looks. Personally I could care less about the movement flaws, and yes, $200 is a lot for a 21J. Still, It's a very close forgery and looks great on the wrist. I'm a hugh Big pilot fan so this pilot's for me.

I would bet that the 7 day reserve indicator moves once every 24 hours. That's the way the earlier, but innaccurate worked.

All of them have flaws. I still enjoy them even if they are not 100% accurate. Fact is, they are great looking watches on their own. I'm still wearing some I've had for five years. And, I'm not worried about being called out. These are older models and no one notices the flaws anyway. My friends just appreciate my taste in fine watches,LOL.

How about taking it to a local watchsmith and saving the return shipping half way around the world. It's probably a very simple fix.

I've always been a big fan of this watch and waited in vain for an accurate rep. Finally, out of frustration I picked up one from TTK for $100 until a better one shows up.

Actually, I prefer the term "Forgeries". Reminds me of those great artist forgeries of Rembrandt, etc.. ....It seems more elegant.

Do you guys actually think you can keep these forums safe from "outsiders"? LOL, I know many gen forums that have spoken about these forums in the past. By-Tor you're right. Everybody in the Gen watch business is aware of these forums.........and have been for several years. The only thing that saves us is the offshore status....and the fact that the Chinese don't give a sh*t about complaints from them. I know that many managers at Tourneau visit occasionally, to see the new stuff.
