  1. Battery life will extend once you use it several times. Mac air is nice if you're just using it for word, surfing, etc.
  2. Today: Omega Chrono Thursday: Roger Dubuis Friday: Ferrari
  3. A few months ago, at a car show, a friend of mine was complaining about a rep ferrari being compared to the real thing (side by side) that were on display. When I pointed out that he was wearing a rep Tag that I had gotten for him.........he laughed.
  4. Actually, it opens from the front as memory serves. I had one and have sold it. I replaced the battery on the quartz side by opening the front. Just can't remember how.
  5. Here's my two: One from Eddie Lee a couple of years ago from Eddie Lee with Swiss movement and the other Narikaa's newbmaster.
  6. Right on, Lanikai. They don't understand the difference between gross profit and net profit.
  7. Happy Birthday Noslen! Today, I'm going with Newbie Vintage Explorer: Tuesday: Vintage IWC Wednesday: Longine
  8. Actually, TJ I was thinking Chrono's. But you're right, I've purchased lot's of complications (like jumping hour, PP with all kinds of day/date, moon, etc.) for the under $150. Specially, those fitted with the asian movement which has tended to be reliable.
  9. I'm getting one, and based on your excellent comments here, the decision is, should I save $50 bucks and go for V1? I'm thinking so, since the only difference wouldn't be recognizable by anyone (other than the Wis's on the boards).
  10. I just purchased three reps for about $100 each and they're pretty damn good. It's the new "complications" watches that are costing too much. We have a choice.......most reps on J&A are still reasonably priced, all things considered. Want the newest and best, pay the price. Want a terrific rep that is accurate but less in demand or been around awhile, we'll pay reasonable prices.
  11. Maybe it's just cause you're new and inexperienced, but these movements have had issues (whether seconds at 12...or whatever) but they are few and far between. These movement have improved radically in the last few years and are used in more and more gens. This model is new and may go through some teething problems, but most of the seconds at 12 are working fine. It's more a quality control issue (there isn't any), so that's the real flaw....not the movement itself.
  12. I rotate them daily and sometimes again in the evening. I've got lot's of gens (including high ends) and tons of reps. I just get a kick out of changing them. I have never been called out and could care less if someone spotted a rep (they haven't yet). Once in awhile I even forget whether it's a gen I'm wearing or a rep. It's just for the fun of it, afterall.
  13. Tonight, I'm switching to a rarely worn watch: Saturday: IWC Ingy Sunday: Pam Regatta Happy weekend.
  14. I think the Sinn reps would cost as much as the Gen?
  15. .......Because of the great people here, the wonderful communications, the terrific info that keeps me addicted to "The forgers art", and the female escorts that the forum provides. Edit: Oops, this is only showing up in the VIP Special lounge, right?
  16. Hey, welcome back. Lot's of new stuff for the newly re-addicted.
  17. "..........You Cretinous tool" I'm gonna steal that one.......sooooo elequent.
  18. I agree. At least, after an earthquake, it's still a nice day!
  19. Well, I've solved that problem. I bought future beach front property in Arizona
  20. Tonight, Omega GMT Saturday: B&R Sunday: B&R
  21. Great info. I just received TTK's version (for $100) and it looks very good (I'm comparing pics here). Same flaws listed here. I'll post some pics this weekend.
  22. yeah, it was rock and roll here today. I thought I was just having an inner ear problem until the books fell of the shelves. Luckily, the important thing is that all my fake watches are OK.
