  1. Boy, I like big watches, but this one is a monster. But it is a beauty. wear it well.
  2. I'm in an Omega frame of mind. Tonight, I'm going with an Omega super rep: Saturday: an 007...but which one? Sunday: Moon watch:
  3. I agree. With all the usual flaws reps have, this one bothers me the least. In fact, it doesn't bother me at all!
  4. I, for one, am going to miss it, even though traffic had declined notably. It was the original for me.
  5. Your absolutely right. TTK had mentioned once that they get a lot of their sales that way...........but not anywhere what these forums give them.
  6. Do not kid yourself, we are a significant portion of their sales. Do you think all these improvements over the last couple of years would have happened without the input of these forums? No, they would have continued manufacturing the crap you see on Canal street. It was US that motivated these high end replicas. It is us who are willing to pay top dollar for FAKES. Do you think the average internet cruiser would? I agree with the above comments about Joshua. He has been sterling to me.
  7. Tonight: Going with this rarely seen gem Thursday: Pam Zerograph Friday: B&R
  8. Very nice, Richard. It's an eye-catcher. Wear it well!
  9. I like this BR a lot. Cool choice.
  10. Hike, sorry but right now this one's a keeper. Funny thing is that this thread got me wearing it today!
  11. I got mine from River a few years ago. Watch head only and added the strap. Don't wear it often but love the watch.
  12. He was truly the best......right alongside Pryor, Lennie Bruce and Mort Sahl. RIP George
  13. A new week already?? We'll, starting out with this one Tuesday: AP Wempe from Josh (Haven't shot a wrist shot yet) Wednesday: My 1950
  14. I was an early adapter at $200. for $500+ I've become a late bloomer......or never will!
  15. What a great thread. It got me thinking. hearing everyone's comments (I'm glad I came late to the thread)......I agreed with almost all of them. I have enough watches to wear a different one every day for more than a couple of months. What does that say about me?? Multiple personality disorder? And mostly, my Gens sit in the box! I kinda like changing brands on a daily basis. I'm all over the place when it comes to style.......and I wear them to please me. I can count on the fingers of my hands how many times somebody noticed my watch. They were obviously serious watch addicts. If someone's perception of me is based on WHAT WATCH I AM WEARING, what does that say about them??
  16. Are things getting worse? I don't know. What I do know is that when I was spending $100/$200 for a rep and I had a problem........it bothered me but not a lot. At $500 it BOTHERS me a lot. (not that I spend that kinda money on a rep.......but if I did?) We're getting better quality reps (with same occasionally dodgy mvmnts) and paying the price. When one of these tank it is a serious issue.
  17. Well, I've got one! just received the pilot version from TTK. A few flaws, such as the seconds at 6 is too high, lume is weak. It is one beautiful watch and was very inexpensive with the asian mvment. I bought it as a lark for under $100. I'm putting a better strap on it and will post pics hopefully this weekend. Turns out the closed CB is accurate!!?? BTW, it's 44/45mm. Haven't measured it exactly. Also, picked up his vintage Longine. Another very nice $100 rep.
  18. By-Tor, both are beauties. The white shouldn't be hard to read, and on a bracelet...wow. but I love the black/yellow or black/red. Very eye catching. My choice would be black, but then again, I have plenty of white faces. (Love my Omega and Pam 188, etc.).
  19. Some real beauties....especially the black Daytona. My favorite model. I have had good experience with it. Great Pics!
  20. Gorgeous watch......and Pics, as usual, By-Tor. Here's my weekend choices: Tomorrow night: Fun time Silberstein Saturday: I'm going flyin' Sunday: AP Royal Oak City of Sails Happy Weekend.
  21. Thanks Lani......Your usual excellent review. Great watch. Breitling putting up phony color in pics is a little like closing the barn door after the horses escaped!
  22. Wonderful review. This one is now on my short list. I really love My MBK Nautilus, and will shortly add this one.........thanks to this review.
