  1. Mondays: starting with my newest acquisition Tuesday: Vintage Rollie Wednesday: Zenith El primero (4 year old rep and still looks and runs great)
  2. Re: the accuracy of this watch, I compared it to the real deal. Mine does NOT have the blue screws and it is so close to the real deal I couldn't find any flaws. I know there must be some, but my "lying eyes" couldn't find them. And the bezel is notched. The only problem with mine is it came with the white strap attached and I want to change to the black strap. but there is no tool yet to change straps. Joshua tells me it will be available next month. Until then I will have to be satisfied with the white strap......which is a little to feminine for me. I'm a jeans kinda guy. ...........But the watch is one of the best out of the box reps yet. A $20,000 watch for $400+.
  3. Tonight: Chopard Tomorrow: Cali dial Pam sunday: AP
  4. Need to give these some more wrist time. Tonight: VC Tomorrow: Tudor Friday: Ingenieur chrono
  5. Some of the early reps were really interesting. I think some of these would qualify:
  6. I hear the orange numbered dial on the Graham oversize is coming our way soon. I'll wait for that.....or will I?
  7. Gorgeous watches. But, even though I'm not usually anal, the running seconds at the 9:00 really bothers me since the subdial at 12 is the sixty second dial! I finally found something I am anal about. Hope they figure out a reliable movement with seconds at 12:00. Of course, if that happens we'll also have a reliable movement with seconds at 6:00!
  8. Great review. A friend has the gen and we compared them. My rep...his gen. We had to study it for quite awhile...aside from the 6 O'clock subdial and the placement of the subdials (which you have to look at directly to see the difference), the differences were so subtle that you'd have to be fatally anal to spot it on the wrist.
  9. Today: Tuesday: Moonwatch Wednesday: This Gem
  10. ..........and mine:
  11. Great review. I have one sitting in my Watchbox. Seeing yours with a good strap has motivated me to get a good strap and WEAR it! thanks.
  12. Great review! Thank you!!!
  13. Easter Friday:
  14. Wow, what a great forum. Thanks Jon. It went to a deserving guy!
  15. Flaws or not.......Gorgeous
  16. Everybody has their own reasons for collecting "forgeries". I've got lots of gens (motivated partly by my interest in reps), and tons of reps some going back 6-7 years. I think the count is around 75 reps. Do they all get wrist time? NO. But a lot of them do. After not wearing a particular watch for a month or so, I discover it in the drawer and it's like....WOW, a new watch! Recycling these oldies (which are pretty good reps in their own right) gives me something "new" to wear. I'm just too lazy to sell any. Lately, I've become particular on new purchases and I'm no longer buying 3-4 a month. ....but I have three new ones I haven't worn yet. The new Dewitt, Yachtie, and Gold Ferrari (to go with the stainless steel one). .............and that new Chopard on Joshua's site today looks pretty enticing. OOPS!
  17. It's not Wednesday here yet, but here goes. Wednesday evening: Thursday: Moonwatch Friday: MBW/James Bond Sub
  18. It's only midday Sunday, but what the hell.... Tomorrow: Yachtie Tuesday: Pam 192 Wednesday: Pam 183
  19. Kruzer, Looks great. Luv the movement!!
  20. One of my favorites......that doesn't get enough wristime. Elegant, simple, classy. Mine comes from TTK a couple of years ago, 43mm I think, and I can't find the flaws.
  21. Well, read the article and get right out the airport. They're waiting for you.
  22. Tonight: This beauty from neil Saturday: AP Wempe Sunday: Navitimer world
  23. This one tonight: Tomorrow: Pam GMT Friday: VC retro calender
  24. This week I'm going Pam. Today: Pam Power reserve Tomorrow: Wednesday: Another Pam
  25. Great post, Dave. I've got my share of gens (9....and all expensive) and tons of reps. Personally, I'm a watch nut and never really cared if the rep was accurate to the nth degree. Guess I'm not anal. I enjoy the reps simply because I enjoy the design and don't go nuts trying for the "perfect" rep. PS. It doesn't exist......no matter how close it comes. I'm still in the game, but my gameplan has changed. I don't go for the initial introduction. I wait for the subsequent version, and I only go for something that truly excites me. I've got reps that are three or four years old and still look good and run well. All the "anal" stuff goes right over my head. I don't go crazy for relumes, since most of my gens (which include Rollie's, AP's, Breitlings, IWC, DON'T HAVE MUCH LUME left on them either! Hope you hang around till you reach the next stage, LOL!
