i forgot to add, it's rather thick too, making it seem larger. Around halfway I derailed the thread to talk about the FF, there is some good info in there. When I get my TR-900, I will probably send it to a modder like domi to get it vintaged, as my last try at a vintage was a colossal failure because I don't have the time/knowledge/effort.

apparently the narrika sub was a mistake... £75 I could have spent on a fifty fathoms down the drain @jmb the 21j second hand tube was too small to fit on what i think is the second hand pole (although there is no thin needle like in my other reps, maybe I broke it off? @dublinlad)

The old second hand got lost! A very kind member sent me a couple of second hands from a 21j sub, but they did not fit at all! Can anyone tell me what movement this is so I can get a replacement hand that fits?

LHOOQ has one, and I'm pretty sure his wrists are quite small. It's a pretty great watch, but fairly inaccurate. Having said that when I get paid at the start of next month I am getting one. I just wonder if DSN's "Swiss" is actually a Swiss movement. afaik it wears pretty damn big despite its small diameter on paper. The small dial and large case and bezel also make it feel much bigger than 41mm. Remember, it is a dive watch after all.

I always put "watch for repair" on the tag, and i've never been hit with duty/vat.

DSN fifty fathoms! I'm waiting and waiting for one to come up for sale, but they seldom do. Probablly i'll have to order from DSN himself. Can't decide on which model though. I was thinking because of the obvious flaws in the rep, i'd get the tr900- anyone in the know would recognize it's heritage, and to anyone else it's another watch. Then again, I like the consumer milspec, so really I should get that one. Then I want a NOS tropic strap to complete the look. Hard to come by indeed. As far as my first not inherited gen, I want this sinn Probably wont be able to afford it for a few years (i'm a student). Edit: Dave, doesn't the bezel font bother you? the rest of the watch is great. Suppose you were to buy the gen, could you get breitling to fit another bezel (if you paid of course)?

a sinn U1 or U2 sounds perfect for you. People do not know the brand much so it's a plus. And the genuine is probably only around £1.2k used (maybe even new?) go for the pvd for extra subtlety.

I just don't understand how a Graham can be anywhere near comfortable to wear :s as soon as you bend your wrist upwards, doesnt the cg dig into your arm?

I will post a few pics at higher resolution in a few hours, the tapatalk image host resized the picture to save space I guess. I have been looking at pictures of gens, and I just can't seem to see that great a difference in the cg. Or it's difficult to tell from the angles of gen pics. I am about to order a generic 127 crystal, but it seems to me that this design could never be waterproof, the crystal just fits into this beveled ring with no support? Is it possible to make this model waterproof? I'm guessing this is not how the gen is constructed. Thanks for reading, -us

What kind of sand paper is best for the cg mod?

Hey guys, I have been doing some work on my narikaa red sub. Please critique it so I can see what is the problem. There is no second hand or crystal as I am waiting for these parts.
