  1. I thought someone a while back had a solid gold bezel made by a jeweler. I never heard of one coming with solid gold out of the box.
  2. Check out trusty time or any of the dealers. there are several tag link models. available.
  3. The movement on the new Yachtmaster is nothing short of amazing. Very functional for racing. This knockoff is a valiant first effort but not something you would ever see on my wrist. The gen looks fake and the fake even faker.
  4. Unfortunately I do not have much confidence in many US made products even with the quality control. We are not a country known for durable products except for maybe Craftsman tools. The American auto industy especially doesn't have the best track record historically.
  5. A replica is a lie to begin with. There is not much truth in an industry predicated on a product that is a blatent lie. Don't take this hobby too seriously. Your long winded post sounds like you are researching a major purchase of a fortune 500 company for hundreds of millions of dollars. Keep it simple. It is what it is and a replica is only a replica. Buy what you like and don't expect too much from it. If you need all of what you are asking for from a watch purchase, buy a genuine. This hobby is fun and I see these watches as conversation pieces and novelties. It makes me happy to be part of a community that shares the same interests and is filled with wonderful people. The watches are a bonus. Chill out, relax and buy something. Make your first purchase for around $200 so if you are dissapointed it won't be a major loss. Then once you recieve that package and slap the shiny new Submariner on your wrist, feel free to break out the digital calipers and start measuring the distance between tic marks.
  6. Very tempting. Especially with my birthday right around the corner. I have never spent this much on a rep before. I think I could put the money toward better use. My max for a rep is $400, but my absolute max is $500
  7. That is a submariner with a serti dial. Obvious scam however. Pics look stolen. Nice watch box BTW, love the white gloves....
  8. You need to rent a big uhaul, fill it up and start an ebay business. Lots of money in that stuff. A whole dumpster could be filled with thousands of items. At $10 or $20 a piece thats a new genuine Rolex.
  9. I have an older man maybe in his 70's that works for me part time at night. He comes in today with a new big gold watch. He was standing around saying how he needs the bracelet adjusted. I have a quick look and notice it has pins to take out the links. I go into my office drawer and pull out my pin pusher tool (yeah you have to be really demented to keep an extra set of watch tools in the office drawer). I offer to size it for him for no charge of course. I look the watch over and it is a nice heavy piece. Looks kina like an Invicta lupah about 43mm gold plated and heavy. It has a quartz chrono movement and the dial says Milan or Milano. Obviously nothing special but nice looking none the less. I push the chrono button because it isn't set to 12:00 and notice the chrono resets to about 2:00. I point this out and he has no clue what a chronograph is or anything. He even asks if he has to wind it. I tell him to exchange it or take it to a repair guy it should be an easy fix to adjust the second hand. He tells me he bought it from some jewelry exchange in New Jersey and it's a good watch and 18K gold. He'll just take it in to have sized. He doesn't want me to screw it up. Well the damn thing is stamped stainless steel and the back isn't even plated. The moral of the story is that no good deed goes unpunished. I try and help the guy with his watch, he basically tells me I don't know what I'm doing. I didn't say a word about the quality, I just walked away. I hope the guy didn't get scammed into buying a piece of crap for any good money. I doubt it, just why make up a story?
  10. TT EVO is great. Not much gold on it at all. I saw River had one with a TT bracelet as well but the dial was not like the ultimate version.
  11. Goodnight Gracie.
  12. You really have to lay off the sauce...............
  13. You know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in europe? A royale with cheese. Something to do with the metric system. If you ask for half a dozen quarter pounders do you really get 1.5 pounds? I hear that would cost you about $6.00 but 6 royales would cost you 3 pounds sterling. Is a quarter pound 2 pence? Now i'm just rambling. Forget it.
  14. Making me droooool............... That would go real well with my velvet snakeskin print shirt.
  15. Since I hit 1,000 posts, I haven't found anything to post about. Can figure out how to get to 1,001................ Or 8,000 for that matter.
  16. 1,000!!! Woohoo!!! I'd like to thank all the little people who made this possible. There are really too many to list. Thank you, thank you. Bask in the glow. Take a look at me for the 1,000th time. Still only 1/8 of what some people have done but it's a milestone for me.
  17. It's unfortunate that there is no decent rep of the serti dial. The "diamond" hour markers don't even look like diamonds and the 12, 6, and 9 hours are supposed to have sapphires where the reps only have opaque blue plastic. It would be nice if the rep manufacturers could use high quality cz's for these markers.
  18. the only models I have seen like that are the Rolex president and Piaget polo.
  19. Oyster refers to the construction of the case. Rolex pioneered the first hermetically sealed watch case to withstand deep depths while diving. It is shut as tight as an oyster and made from a solid piece of metal.
  20. Trust me you really need diamonds for an event. Just pick one from below...........
  21. I think some watches benefit from AR coating. My TT EVO looks spectacular with the AR. I couldn't see having it without. I couldn't imagine any Rolex having AR coating however. It just wouldn't look right against their design of dials. Maybe it's because I'm used to it, or just that I like the design of Rolex just the way they are. The coating would take away from some dials IMO.
  22. Look up..................... Here's an old pic of some of the collection. Need to update this soon. Waiting for a few more pieces.
  23. That ain't no sugar. Me and Eunomians is good friends...............
  24. The real question is who would you rather be? The dog or the girl? Did I really say that...................
  25. I love what it says about internet sales: That is a total load of crap. There are many brand new 100% genuine Breitlings for sale on the internet. Some are gray market but I doubt that 99% are all fakes. Isn't this in violation of some fair trade practices. This is an outright lie. Of course they don't want you buying a pre owned watch because their profit is gone, but to deny internet sales is insane. I wish these watch companies would wake up and realize the internet is the way products are sold. I rarely buy anything from an actual store anymore.
