This post has two purposes. First I ordered a screwdriver set from Birdman yesterday and It arrived at my office today!!! Good job birdman. The set is definately high quality. Didn't know the French were such good tool makers. I showed off the nice new set of screwdrivers to my secretaries and they smiled and gave me a "that's nice" comment when I knew damn well they could give a [censored]. I did make a couple of comments that I wish I had something to fix. Even asked around if anyone needed a pair of eyeglasses tightened or a watch sized. All I got were blank stares and looks of confusion. I could imagine they were thinking has the boss gone completely nuts? Anyway unfortunately or fortunately I look at my brand new gold Breitling Bentley and it says 7:00. I look at my computer and it says 9:00. Then the dreaded look at the asian 7750 running seconds and oh my god they stopped!!! I shake the watch and nothing. Nothing except a little rattle. The ever so loud quiet rattle of a little screw. Now I am [censored]. But no fear, I have my trusty screw drivers!!! I pop off the band and try to lossen the back with my thumbs and it doesn't budge. Figures, I get the one watch they tighten the back on and my case openers and wrenches are one thing I don't keep in my office. So I hurriedly scuffle through my drawers and look for something, anything that I can use as a case opening tool. I certainly don't want to wait another 1.5 hours until I ge thome to fix my watch. that would be ludicris. How would I be able to concentrate on the 17 mile drive knowing the watch on my wrist is stopped? Then there it was. Peeking it's beautiful matte silver head out from under the paperwork..................................... A roll of duct tape. Yes that's it!!! I remember from RWG people open their watches with duct tape. My savior!!! So I rip off a length of tape, ball it up and stick to the back of my watch. I push and turn and voilla. Off it comes. I look around the movement and I don't see anything amiss. Then I carefully turn it upside down and two tiny little piece fall out. One was a screw and the other a piece of metal with a hole in it. Well I ahve no idea where they go so I hope they weren't needed anyway. I look at the dial and it is working, but I can't help but wonder where these come from. I look in the movement and spin the rotor around (the movement in this watch is very well finished BTW). I notice there is a space on the edge of the moevment where this would fit. Aha. It was just the bracket that hold the movement in. No big deal. I screw it back in, tighten the back with duct tape and wipe off the residue with a soft cloth. A happy ending and the screwdrivers came in the nick of time. RWG saved the day!!! Thanks RWG!!!

Hublot: New Big Bang and 'in house' movement released
jfreeman420 replied to geo1nah2a's topic in Other Brands Area
All this to [censored] off the rep makers. Kinda childish if you ask me. Hublot can keep that watch and their Hublonium. I guarantee it will be marked up to the price as if it were platinum. It looks kinda like a steel and ceramic alloy. The color is hideous. Who wants a bland grey watch? Furthermore, the geniuses that designed the "in house" movement just repped a 7750. They are no better than the chinese factories. I will laugh if swatch group comes after them for infringement. -
Looks like an omega jump hour or mystery dial like the lecoulture..
-
Why spend $300 on a rep of a watch that you can buy genuine for $1,000? Go balls to the wall, rep of a $33,000 watch.
-
Where do they get these numbers? Who is buying counterfeit watches or handbags that would have really bought the genuine article if no counterfeits were available? I know I wouldn't own 20 Rolexes if there were no fakes available.
-
Stay away from those stainless steel replicas. Go for one of these........... Or these... Both from TWP BTW.

Although I haven't been clubbing in several years, that kind of dancing is nothing new. It looks like the rave dancing everyone was doing here in south Florida back in the early 90's. It looked alot better with some glow sticks and a couple hits of ecstacy though.

I like to think the theme of my collection is reserved and understated elegance for everyday wear. My watches remain unpretentious and quietly rest in their place on my wrist simply acting utilitarian for the purpose of knowing the time........ My heavy rotation: Two tone EVO Gold Bentley Gold Yachtmaster Gold MOP diamond Rolex Masterpiece White Gold Black MOP diamond masterpiece Rolesium Yachtmaster Three Two Tone Daytonas Steel Daytona Two Tone Omega Double Eagle The every day mans' collection..............................

Everyone knows you are supposed to have so many watches that you don't have enough space on the winder and you wear a different one every day so you will be setting the time regularly on most of your watches. Now you don't care which one loses or gains because you will never know.......... Amateurs...........

The chinese gold plating is suprisingly good. The color has gotten a lot better in the last couple of years. I have had several for years without signs of wear and even with scratches. I think the scratches tend to add to the character of gold.

The mail man brought me two very nice packages today containing a gold Bentley, TT MOP Daytona, Gold Yachtmaster, and a TT bracelet for my ultimate EVO. The bracelet dresses it up niceley...............Enjoy.

I think the members here at RWG made a great choice with my previous poll white or black. The white dial is classy and sporty. It is more of a pearlescent color in person which I think is correct for this model. This is a huge watch at almost 48mm. It is also quite heavy. Tthe dial takes up most of my wrist and you can only see the bracelet from the side. It is made well, but the bracelet isn't as solid as my ultimate evo but still very well made. Weighing in at a hefty 230.9 grams it is also the heaviest watch I have owned. It wears considerably bigger than a Panerai. The EVO weighs a hefty 203 grams and the gold Yachtmaster weighs 145 grams. I certainly know I am wearing this one. I wonder how much the genuine one weighs in solid gold. I can't imagine it being much heavier. The asian 7750 in this one is unmodified so I believe it will be reliable. It feels smooth and the chrono works perfectly. It has a light AR coating which does the job but doesn't have a blue tint to distract from the dial. Compare to the original it has a few flaws. The running seconds should be at three o'clock but who cares? This is a great all gold watch and it make the King of Bling quite happy . BTW, The watch was purchased outside of the cartel from the watch Prince. Ultra smooth transaction and even saved a few bucks from the usual suspects. TWP wanted to quality control this for me but I opted to have it drop shipped since I am going out of town next week. I think he just wanted to wear it for a few days anyway . Who wouldn't? Once agin TWP is highly reccomended. He is a gentleman to deal with and a watch collector first, dealer second. Now for the pics............. Group shot for size comparison BTW, all pics are taken with a Sony cybershot 7.2 mp in macro mode with an overhead bedroom lamp. No fancy setup, but I have used a few tricks from all the great photographers here. I plan to buy some better equipment soon, if I don't spend all my money on watches.........

All in one day: Gold Bentley, Gold Yachtmaster, TT MOP Daytona and TT bracelet for my EVO. Sick thing is I'm already planning my next order. It's been a while since i went this crazy, but I work hard and deserve it!!!

From the pics it looks like the one on silix's site is different than the light version. Notice the bolder date font on the one advertised as light and notice the lighter font in silix's pics. Makes you go hmmmm.

That is an old pic of the original seconds @ six daytona with modified SWISS ETA 7750. It is no longer in production. Ken used to be a good dealer with good watches but someone on the board not long ago said he was ripped off by Ken. It seems he is still doing business with his overseas clientele but robbing americans? I would stay way.

JURY DUTY SCAM: This has been verified by the FBI (their link is also included below). Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us take summons for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of scam has surfaced. The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Give out any of this information and bingo; your identity just got stolen. The scam has been reported so far in 11 states, including Oklahoma, Illinois, and Colorado. This (scam) is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they're with the court system. The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud. I also got a link to more information on the FBI website but I don't think we want a link to that from here..

RWG I need your help and suggestions.

My mom is allergic to nickel as well. Can't wear silver or gold plated jewelery. I bought her a genuine two tone rolex datejust a couple years back and she wears it every day and has no problems. Steel that is 316L or higher 904 in newer rolexes is hypoallergenic. Many of the rep watches claim to be 316l steel and some may be. I have a bad reaction to cheap metal in the form of a breakout on my wrist. i have no problem wearing any high end rep even gold plated. Of course the solid gold gens are the best. -
Obviously the esteemed Admin want us to stop dragging this thread out so why not give it a try. It looks kinda cool over there, but I do like it way better over here. What to do?
-
The Daytona is a given and my first choice for a chronograph, but as for the non rolex models you just can't beat the Breitling Chronomat Evolution. Nice substantial watch without being too big.
-
Haven't you been around enough to see that that is the same watch our dealers sell for around $300? This guy sells overpriced aftermarket vintage rolex parts and 6263 cases. Nothing special with any of his items.

Hey everybody: Check it out, theres a new thread called the longest thread ever. Go post there instead of wasting time here.

Hasn't this been done already?

Solid gold casting for replica watches
jfreeman420 replied to jfreeman420's topic in General Discussion
I don't even think there are more than 100 people on this board who would wear a gold watch. @Corgi: Check the eyecandy section. Really nice. -
You certainly have me all figured out. Get you relaxed and liquored up, then off with the bling.......

Solid gold casting for replica watches
jfreeman420 replied to jfreeman420's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for the info TTK, but I was hoping for someone who already had that equipment and was willing to make one watch. I found a place but they want to do 100 pieces minimum. @Raijor: I thought of those first a long time ago but their yacht model isn't near accurate.
