  1. The guy twirling his watch looks like he's wearing a gold big bang, no? As for me, I always wear short sleeves (too hot for suits in Florida) so it's hard to miss a 48mm gold Bentley.
  2. My last package said "despatch from sorting center" for 5 days. Then it just showed up. These things are normal.
  3. Yes I hate Vista. What a cluster[censored]. All those permission tabs are really annoying. Do you allow windows to open thsi program? Are you sure you want to close this? Are you really sure you want to exit? Yes!!! Never really thought of that.....
  4. I am getting very tired of reading posts about people pissing and moaning about high rep prices. Why are the prices high from the most prevalent dealers? Convenience. They take paypal or credit cards. There are fees involved with this. There are also chargebacks. They also replace watches seized in customs. They will sometimes replace a defective watch. Many people think they are the only options. Well they are wrong. If you want to know the real deal on replica watches this is it. I still buy many of my watches the old school way. From a rep at a factory. He doesn't give me 20 pictures of every angle of the watch. He doesn't have a website. I pay him with western union only. I also pay $20.00 for shipping. The prices are much much lower. Gold evo is $178. TT evo is $188. Asian ETA Rolexes $50. 7750 daytonas $135. Swiss ETA Rolexes about $130. Few watches go over the $200 mark. I pay $40 to send WU online or $12 at a location. I usually order two or three watches at a time to average these costs down and bargain for a better deal. I have a few of these contacts and they were made only with years of buying reps from different dealers and fishing out contacts. I also buy watches from some of the mainstream dealers. They advertise them first and I am sometimes willing to pay for convenience. Wal-Mart has cheaper prices than most retail stores but many people opt for Target because they have better customer service. BTW, my first purchases of high end replicas were from TW dealers. I still have contact with a few and TW best Rolexes still go for $300 to $350. I remember when people were happy to shell out $400 for a swiss Submariner. Quit whining about pricing. There are other alternatives but most people are too lazy to look or [censored] that a cheaper dealer isn't convenient enough.
  5. Well those right wing religious fanatics are already hindering gambling expansion here in Florida and blocking much needed tax revenue that 80% of residents approve of. I guess Vegas could be next......................................
  6. It was colonel mustard in the library with the candlestick....... The movie was quite funny.
  7. Fake, Fake, Fake!!!!!! That dial is horrible. It's not even positioned in the case evenly.
  8. First VB, let me wish your dad a speedy recovery. Albeit unfortunate in my opinion, religion is the basis for 100% of the Republican candidates' platforms and many of the Democrats as well. 75% of the US claim to be of Christian faith. Because of this presidential candidates feel the need to appeal to constituents' religious beliefs. I can guarantee if 75% of America claimed to be muslin 90% of the candidates would be preaching praise to allah. Everyone has the right to their own beliefs and religious freedom is part of what America was founded on. Although I may not agree with FDR or your beliefs, V, if that is what is comforting to you I am noone to mock or minimalize that. I do not believe however that the word god or any other reference to any entity that may or may not exist should be allowed in any governmental function in any capacity. Religion is personal and everyone has a right to believe whatever they want but if you are spending my tax dollars and making decisions that affect my life do not impose what you believe to be religion on me. I would be happy if I never heard a politician utter the word god again.
  9. True there are probably many local people here in FL that could do this for me but i don't get out much. Easier to send it off from the office and have it shipped back. I have a jeweler in Boynton who is an AD for a couple brands and sells used Rolex as well. He has worked on several of my reps for free sizing, etc. as I have done lots of business in the genuine side with him but he doesn't plate anything. Said he would have to send it out. If you have someone who is rep friendly and does custom plating locally please pm me. I also looked into those plating machines but it looks like too much of a hassle. I actually watched a couple videos on how to deplate items and salvage the gold. Again very messy and not worth the trouble.
  10. Anything is possible. He's not claiming it's real.
  11. I was searching online today to find a place that could plate some old silver i have with rhodium and I came across this site: Artisan Plating I remember some people were worried about replating their watches. These people say they do small to large jobs and the prices are reasonable. I have some great ideas for them................ The one thing I found quite interesting is the chart that shows thickness of gold plate. This just reinforces the fact that there are still dealers who are outright lying to us. You know who they are claiming 10 micron gold plating. That is a bunch of bull. The highest of the highest end of items get 10 microns where 2 microns is usually the norm. Yes I believe that most of the gold plated watches I have bought have super thick plating but at the most I would say 5 microns and that is being generous. What is intersting though while reading through the site they say that new gold plating processes have made the finishes much more durable and long lasting. They go on to say that you no longer need plating that is super thick to last. I am sending them some items next week. Will let you know how it turns out. I plan to build a relationship with them and see if they will super heavy plate a TW best yachtmaster. Then all I need is a gen dial crown and tube and I have the holy grail.
  12. I am wearing mine as we speak. I don't have that gap in the end links. I did have a mishap while sizing the bracelet. The screw wouldn't go all the way in and was left with two threads sticking out. The screw head split and half broke off. I took the dremel and grinded it down flush. Not that big of a deal but this braceelt is tricky. I see that the braceelt is free flowing with the top threaded screws but it makes it a [censored] to screw in. I'm quite happy. I think the AR is just right.
  13. Maybe 95% in south florida. I think it's the sun................ @freddy: Yes, you make a good point. The way you carry yourself has everything to do with everything. Much more than who would believe you have a genuine watch.
  14. $25,000 without a stitch of any precious material. Markup on this one is huge. Hublot is milking their first decent design ever for all they can.
  15. Yes I go to work like that. I'm the boss. My bosses were all flashy before I became the boss as well. I have been in the South Florida sales industry for 17 years. People in my business like to flaunt. As for the LI jews, I'm not trying to put all of us in one category, but for the era and our circle, most were flashy and everyone drove a Cadillac. Not stereotyping but my own experience. @VBarrett: I am also an afficianado of eyewear. Love the Freds and gold and wood. France makes the best eyewear.
  16. My white dial version should be here any minute. I'm looking out the window for the postal carrier right now. I will post a full review and pics today or tommorrow.
  17. The #1 rule of making your watches look authentic is..................................... Don't wear what appears to be a $20,000 watch while dressed in ripped shorts, a tank top and driving a 1982 Toyota corolla. Look, dress and act the part. If you cannot do this, stick with Timex.
  18. Being brought up in an upper middle class Jewish family in Long Island New York I have been around bling my whole life. My Grandfather owned several gold watches, rings bracelets, ETC. My Grandmother and Mom are always blinged to the gills. I normally wear a ring on each pinkie, diamond huggie earrings (yes one in each ear), a princess cut diamond solitare in my left above the hoop, one of a few necklaces I own in yellow gold each at least a half inch thick and 24 inches long, a braclet and a watch. If that isn't enough I wear gold rimmed wood temple prescription Cartier eyeglasses. This is if I am wearing a gold or two tone watch. For the laid back days when I wear a stainless watch I have platinum rimless Fred Lunettes, a thick silver byzantine, White gold diamond pinky ring, Rolex or diamond bracelet and white gold diamond hoops. I also try to match my belt buckle and bits on my Loafers to the gold or silver. Now, I'd like to see anyone here top that............... Some may say I'm gaudy but you only live once.
  19. My first was the old Motorola flip. I bought it off the back of a truck with a hacked card. Worked for months without a bill. Next I had a Nokia 6120. Great phone. Lost that one and luckily brandsmart gave me a backup. It was a 2 for one sale so I had a replacement already. After I lost the second Nokia, I bought an Ericsson flip. The absolute worst phone I ever had. I bought another nokia after that 7210 or something like that. I dropped that one in the toilet so I bought a samsung slide phone. Still have that one although I don't use it. I then bought a Motorola flip smart phone that crapped out in two weeks. Bought it off the bay so no recourse. I bought the Motorola Razr the week it came out. Paid $500 for that piece of crap. Woldn't hold a charge or get reception for anything. It took a whole painstaking year for me to lose that one which brought me to my newest Samsung slide phone I think its the model D 807. This is really a good phone. The longest battery life I have ever seen. I only charge it once every two or three days and I use a lot of minutes. It is about time for me to buy a new phone as this one is about a year old so I am looking. Hopefully I won't lose this one until I find another I like.
  20. I hear you can buy one of these with an asian ETA clone. If the price is less than $150 that would be the clncher for me.
  21. Not a bad idea. I have seen a few new sellers on e bay that have them cheap.
  22. I was one of the lucky peopel to have had the pass around watch. I took some pictures around Ft Lauderdale and various gentleman's clubs. I enjoyed reading others posts and seeing pictures of where it went. I have a white dial AP ROO that was in the sales section. It has come to my attention that a screw is missing from the bezel so I can no longer sell it and I won't wear it. If there is enough interest I will start it out as a new pass around watch. My only concern is that it is too fragile and won't last long. Anyone have a coment one this? here are some pics. If this is not a good idea I will try to come up with another watch. Maybe a noobmariner or something.
  23. Neither of those versions are any good IMO. Spend a little more and go for a TW best.
  24. I never get tired of looking at this watch. In fact I am wearing it right now!!! Or step up to the Bentley.......
  25. Not surprising..........
