been a lonnnnnnnng 3 days this week - stalking the mailbox...incoming Breits this week...woo hoo!...
this post is worthless without pix...........or details...
Owning a gen ti Aerospace, i would say that the old skool ti CA and Seawolf are close...not the same, but only under really close inspection can you see that the ti on the reps are less pure...you can see it too under close macro shots...
i've handled and worn the gen ti Seawolf...thick beast...yet light...i think 1/2 the weight is in the darn thick crystal...
ahhhh...but you need to take a different perspective on this....if i could afford an 036 - i certainly could afford to customize it with aftermarket double AR!...that's my story and i'm sticking to it!...
my 036 dial -- with Z-lume and "T Swiss T" -- reallllly pops with chief's double AR...it may not be replimaniacally accurate, but it takes thie piece to a whole new level...
Central New York, USA to The Netherlands - 3 days...
On Tuesday, 8/24 at 09:32:28am, i left a package to erwinner at the local US Post Office in Central New York...I shipped a 9.20 oz package 1st Class International in a bubble-wrapped lined mailing envelope...Erwin lives in Baarn, The Netherlands -- approx 50km from Schiphol Airport, near Amsterdam...On Friday, 8/27, the package arrived!...
3 friggin days...
perfect information, B...and thank you for the explanation...
mine is as you say...and will leave it alone...
my issue is that i installed a chieftang double ar crystal on my 000 and that makes the dial more pronounced than without double ar...i may just swap the non-ar crystal back in...i know double ar is not accurate, but i have it on my LH dial 177 and my 036 - so i thought why not add it to my 000 - but not liking it as much......the 177 and 036 look awesome (especially the LH dial - which has an amazing texture to it)...
Here it is:
can't seem to find a good macro of the PAM 000 dial...
is the gen "textured" or is it "glossy uniform" jet black?...looking at jaykeem's excellent rep/gen PAM000 post, i can't tell...
jaykeem's rep/gen PAM000 compare post
my rep has a similar dial to jaykeem's; which is a glossy uniform jet black...
here's jaykeem's rep dial pix:
thanks...
very nice!...wear it well...
where/how did you have the chrono hands painted?...
one the tricompax - the datewindow at 4.5 requires a different datewheel than the standard ones with date at 3...andreww posted a thread where he did a mock-up of a 4.5 dw and the offset degrees/spacing...
R-
does the 360 have a sausage or sandwich dial?...
lighting is tough to tell; but is the lume closer to "yellow", "light straw" or "vintage-tritium"?...i know they say its an ecru tritec color - just wondering what shade it is closest too...
i have this old sausage dial with a yellow-ish lume...close, but no cigar!...
wondering...i reviewed the eta tech/mfg docs and didn't see anything regarding the engraved identification...
for example - a 2824-2 i have seen in pix on RWG has V8A14 engraved/stamped; along with the 2824-2, DM and eta symbol...is there a document that helps at least determine what the "V" numbers are?...
yes - i realize that these numbers can be cloned, too, but just wondering if there's a listing as to what the eta identification means...
let's see....if i sell the Slevin, SeaWolf and Datora i'll be there...
but i'd probably go for a blue one...just to be like our superheros Mike and BT...
decisions, decisions...
Hey guys...
I have sourced a nice eta7750 movement for my franken Tudor chrono project...i'm wondering if its worth tracking down a gen Tudor Chrono dw for it or just go with the eta dw...
I've checked out a few pix of the gen dw in some google pix, but not of a full dw view...thoughts on differences and/or pix of a full Tudor dw?...
Any leads on a source for one?...
Thanks...R
