Once my crystal arrives, I'll be ready to put it all together. Can't thank member w0lf enough for the great work he does. This case is awesome. The CG fits with zero gaposis!
The dropped shoulders are another detail that's usually ignored. Strap notches are non-existent! The lugs were perfectly drilled for the double screw strap system. I'm a happy camper
Where did the notch go?...
Look at those nice slightly softened edges and the CG fit...
It's most noticeable flaw is the date window opening shape (and although some might argue, I don't think it's really that noticeable unless the gen is next to it).
Other than that it's d@mn good.
You ordered a 104 not a 114 (has a white dial)... go here... lots of gen 104 pics from different angles to compare with (ignore the F series CG). Click on the thumbnails for bigger images...

As they are gifts for your parents, I wouldn't be concerned about your parents spotting any flaws.... unless they already own some gen PAMs or frequent this forum
You could ask Andrew if he would give the regulator a little nudge in the minus direction.
Welcome to the club! I have the same combo. Most comfortable strap I've owned and perfect with the 5
Plus if you get a desk diving scrape on it, a couple of seconds of rubbing the area with your thumb makes it good as new.
It develops a nice patina after a short time.
A couple of old pics when it was new...
Funny you mention that... I was munching on my favorite snack food last night and noticed both the font color and background color were a close match to the AP. Even the subtle reddish-brown color of the subdials was the same (a little hard to see in the pic with the lack of AR on the xtal).
I wonder if someone at the corporate office owns the same AP model?
Same for me the past couple of years. The fit and finish is impressive, although I'm used to looking down on my wrist and seeing a watch that's a little more understated color-wise. Time will tell, but I think a Ti bead blasted Chrono Passion may be next
Panerai and Rolex have pretty much been the only watches on my wrist consistently for the past 10 years or so.
So I thought it was time to try out something other than a black dial. I've always liked AP's when I've seen them in pics and on other wrists. But when I tried them on, I just didn't feel it enough to keep one.
Limited Edition of 300 and I really like it so far. Thanks to member Dylan for the smooth transaction
I went with a rubber strap for now until I decide what's next for this one
Some phone pics from this afternoon just after it arrived...
