  1. Is this a trick question? I don't mean to be a little sarcastic... but it's a very bad rep.
  2. This one hasn't left my wrist since it arrived last week.
  3. No kidding! I really like the strap choice. And your photography beautifully illustrates The Zigmeister's fine work
  4. Velkommen til forumet! Gjerne hjelpe deg.
  5. Go here and all of your questions will be answered. Click on the reference section regarding model differences and plenty of pics. http://www.paneristi.com
  6. Thanks kruzer for the kind words and help with this project! The OP pics were shot in my driveway while sitting in my car. It was overcast, so the finish took on a bluish gray cast. No flash. This finish, patinaed with age, is like a chameleon... might be interesting to do a series of pics this weekend under a variety of lighting conditions. Here are some earlier pics in available light to show it's changing colors. I'll take some flash pics for my next post.
  7. Cats... I picked up the strap @ paneristi. It's an early series oem gator. It's in very used condition, so it was affordable.
  8. This project got started about 9 months ago. Getting all of the necessary components has been a true journey and I have many members to thank. All of the details to follow and those that contributed when I post better pics this weekend. I'm guessing that because of the lack of AR and the glossiness of the numbers, the Tritium aging is only really noticeable at certain angles and under certain lighting conditions. This one is a keeper. So for now, some quick pics...
  9. Really looking forward to that combination! Although that strap does mate beautifully with your 03... you may just have to buy another one... LOL
  10. I like the thick to thin taper too, plus just the right amount of visual detail makes for a very distinctive strap. ahem... "project it will ultimately go on" ???
  11. The Erfurt combo is not helping my economic recovery!
  12. Very interesting... http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/mess...f+a+Panerai+113
  13. I think this base model is the one that's got it all... and the display back is the icing on the cake. The secondary market prices are still coming down... hmmm.
  14. Thank you for the nice words... I just looked up some gen fiddy pics and looked a little more closely at the hands. I think your opinion is spot on. I think the difference would probably come down to exact measurements, but to the naked eye they are fine.
  15. Hmmm... I see a particular strap that looks really nice with it's new home. Some great pieces my friend.
  16. It's the reflection. Sort of a miniature version of the reflection of my fingers on top of the camera you see in the crystal. Close-up pic attached showing cp, but some OEM hands might be nice down the road.
  17. That's what it did to me as well... had to buy it to stop the pain.
  18. I am the fourth person to own this watch. The first owner parted out a gen PAM and kept the movement for this 127 project.
  19. More info about the watch here... http://www.rwg.cc/members/Fiddy-lust-full-filled-t94586.html Depending how you play it, you can call it an early present or late present... good for about 3 months in either direction
  20. Picked up a new gator and buckle... late b'day present to myself. Also spent a little more time refining the cg and filing and polishing the crown. I've tried some ammo-style straps, but the fiddy just seems more at home on a little dressier strap for now.
  21. Brobert's finishes are as good as it gets. Absolutely 1:1. Congratulations. Also notice that the font on the LH dial is not too thick as many have said.
  22. Amazing how accurate the DLC finish looks. The strap is perfect. This watch is what our hobby is all about!
  23. Still can't take it off... maybe midweek...
