    Gone

I remember TTk and his rants on various members almost made me wet my pants some nights it was so funny. Sadly I too miss a few long lost buddies from there. It was a great place & times that I have fond memories of.
  3. I have been burned twice with them. Even tapped into my bank account to satisfy a customer complaint on not receiving goods for a refund. Did`nt care I had a signature confirmation from Usps that the guy received it. Now I just have a limited account, but I don`t have to give them any banking info and usually spend it real soon.
  4. To my friends here, I wanted to share my new addition with you. Like most, I read publications, surf forums, and spend way not enough time on this subject. Glashutte has been my love, & favorite since the beginning. This past week I was in awe of a timepiece delivered. Everything read of this manufacture is as said. Fit, finish, and then that lovely movement. I would have never enjoyed the moment to open this one, without you & the knowledge I acquired here. Enjoy my humble pics, the detail on the dial is hard to catch. Pizzanooo. Now for a few pics... And... I do prefer it on the rubber over the bracelet.
  5. That 201a pvd is wayyyy cool.
  6. Hey Archibald, is there a silver dial version or are you speaking of the white dial. I have heard of a silver dial version but yet to find a dealer who has one or could source one.

    87 VS 243

The 6:00 on the dial sits lower between T swiss made T on the rep. On the gen it sits above it, I`ll include a pic of the gen for you to see. Whats interesting is on the Panerai site the 243 shown has the sunken 6:00 as in the rep. Easy to see when they repped this one where they went for reference. As above, get the gen of choice and enjoy.
  8. Had a x-wind, but sold it a few months back. Great watch and looked good, just sat too much. Here`s a hami with the same movement that is a bit older from the early 90`s. Pristine with some of the plastic seal still attached on the back case. Paid under $400.00 and don`t ask, I will never sell it. Been looking for it`s alter ego, ( white dial black subs) in mint condition but no luck. Would love to have the pair someday.
  9. Also serial # 16 of 8997. Sent along a mail to let him know it is a fake & reported to the bay. And, let him know he has been added to my favorites for future sales.
  10. This one I should really wear more often.
  11. Great topic, brings back alot of memories. I`ll add one more to all the great ones mentioned so far. Vacheron Overseas from Sunshine, more than a few years ago. Highly accurate dial, with the nicest caseback engraving on this series I have seen. Note the engraving on the bottom of the hull on it.
  12. Very hot looking, lots of time and patience went into this one.
  13. 111 from El, with refinements.
  14. Nice pickup there slai. This one today.
  15. He has been a member since.... Member since Dec-31-79 in United States
  16. All polished up for the holiday.
  17. I`m assuming the higher price for the grey dial is because it`s an engraved caseback vs a exhibition one like the black face. And some stickers on the crystal. Kings photo of it. Does have different serial # on it than Joshs photo, lends confirmation that he is still showing pics of first prototype model. This is a nice looking piece, waiting for those wrist shots.
  18. Ran across this awhile back. Maybe old news to some, maybe a help to others. It does get a few hits from me a day looking for a deal just listed. http://www.elitedealseeker.com/index.cgi?c...ord=&ageupp
  19. Wearin the Ingie this week...
  20. The boards decision on TTk is done with our best interests. Not easy, considering the longevity of the seller, & affiliation with the forum along with members Very mixed feelings on this for both sides. Pizzanooo
  21. Excellent choice Richard. I have the all black Extreme Regulator and love it. And Richard is right on the price, very nice piece for the price.
  22. I believe it`s a 5218-203a. Pizzanooo
  23. I have the same watch as you, along with identical mods from The Zigmeister. Mine does have the sapphire crystal, and just gave it the finger nail test also, it passed. That`s a new one for me, nice tip. David does have a crystal to fit, but it has a blue tint to it the gen does`nt. This old model from El had the right ar with no color, maybe the best 127 with mods done. An option would be to have chieftang recoat a new crystal, his newest coatings are virtually color-free and outstanding looking.
  24. Agreed the price of the original Pav straps have gone higher than coconuts lately. The same goes for the 127-217 and older Pvd models as of late. Once the gate opened with those escalating prices, the new bar was set. I`m with kruzer00, nice to have some of that leather in the house. Pizzanooo.
