  1. Well besides the fact it has a sunken wheel, and the strap-deployment is a rep. The rest could be gen...
  2. Hell yes that`s a good looking watch. Thought about it way too often. Well my old friend, if it has your seal of approval let me dig deeper. Me see whats left after I pick up that Alpina Extreme that's due in any time.
  3. Same here, everything is good. Compared mine at an ad also, sales-guy knows me and went in late evening to scrutinize. Tried to be picky and think a wheel could make it better, even that would be minuscule. Sales-guy kept shaking his head, mumbling unbelievable. This is a very close one from the factory.
  4. Duplicate post, ignore.
  5. The new wheel will top it off, along with a nice Ar. The Ingie is one of the best with mods. Both of the Cousteau's look great, went with the 2007 and get lots of compliments on this one.
  6. No, I won`t venture into that debate of softness of scrotum leather... Iwc for me today & the rest of the week. Today... And sharing time also...
  7. Someday maybe a Mare Nostrum ...
  8. I`m on the west coast and never had a problem through Frisco customs. Only problematic area I have heard is customs through Texas.
  9. Hey monte, thanks for adding the lume shot. Was going to do one later. After a couple of days with it, still has me glancing to the wrist way too often.
  10. Here`s some pics of the new Cousteau that arrived. After a day of handling and setting-resetting, & rotating the bezel, I`m happy to say everything works fine. Bezel rotates nicely no chips as such, and no dust or prints on the inside. Ar is nice, and lume is better than most reps. Case is exceptionally good, especially the back engravings. Rubber strap is good, and detailed as per the gen. Overall the quality is very good on it, as you should expect for the price. Things I would do to it... Datewheel change & a service. Now for the pics...
  11. Bently Big-date. Just sent off the crystal for double ar and a lume, while it`s being re-coated.
  12. This Ingie just got the last of a full treatment. Vacuum installed the datewheel & put on a nice mild lume per the gen. Here`s whats been done to it. Originally from Ruby, I liked it how it was. But we know how that can be short lived. Bought another Ingie from a member who put his up for sale with some gen parts installed. This had a gen crystal & crown. Crystal was to die for as seen in the pics. Crown was the same, maybe a tad larger. Took the crystal and crown and put them on the original one I had. For what I could see, there may be two manufactures producing these. The one I had was much crisper in the engraving on the back & the case was more refined and polished up a lot nicer. Then I got in a new datewheel and sent it off to Vac for the final service. My thanks again to Vac who has done another fine piece of work. I have several modded watches that without his expertise and craftsmanship I would not have the pleasure to enjoy. Here`s the pics... Wrist shot. Lume. Some table shots, the first one shows the hands a bit golden from the reflective glare of the sun. Especially like this one. Same angle without. Front. Full ar. Last but not least, dusk shot shown on the wrist.
  13. You are right, cape-cod cloths can be purchased at most Ace hardware stores. They work very nicely on polished surfaces, on the rest go lightly and not too often. They are abrasive and will take the brushed look, or gold plate off surfaces if not careful. For everyday rags to clean, I use microfiber cloths. They are great at removing fingerprint type oils and such which is what we experience most on our watches. When cleaning, don`t throw them in with the regular wash, do them seperate. Wash them in a sink or such with normal dish soap. Then hang to dry. Reason being they can attract or collect dirt particules on the cloth by just being in the wash with other clothes, and then scratch your precious piece...
  14. Bare handed... Did he eat finger food next...
  15. Euno, my heartfelt condolences. Words can-not express my feelings for you at this time. Take care, Pizzanooo.
  16. Masterfully done, now the best part. Enjoying the end result after a long search for all the parts & mods. Beautiful... Pizzanooo
  17. 1 for me as well.
  18. This one is definitely a winner. My favorite sub to wear.
  19. I like the watch Pugs posted. But I did get the Tissot Seastar 1000 in a Siver dial. Very nice looking on or off the beach. Here`s a pic of it on a bracelet.
  20. Again, alot of albums picked are up there for me. But when I saw the thread, only one live album ever comes to mind first. Jimi Hendrix... Band of Gypsies. The song machine guns still gives me goose bumps.
  21. Looks good, I have a stitchless all black on one now. Never did like that rubber look-a-like croc that came with it. Have you seen these on a Gen bracelet? With your dial, a killer combo.
  22. Absolutely beautiful looking piece. Man am I envious, only thing missing is, it is`nt on MY wrist. Now I may half to copy you. Pizzanooo.
  23. About a month ago I picked up a Tissot Seastar 1000, absolutely love it with the silver dial. Pix, that color combo is a great choice.
  24. Nice watch & strap. What does Pawmarker call that strap.
