  1. This one has been hashed over more times than last nights mash. Reason we have`nt gone back is.... Economics, until that changes we will play Skylab. I for one wished for the stars by now...
  2. Posted a couple of pics of this one on another thread here earlier in the week. Felt it needed more of it. Simply put, an outstanding piece that looks and feels quality. The ar on this is really good, I detect almost no color. Some dealer pics show it blue. Not so in hand, and my first pic shows it in direct light to accent how good the ar is. At about 43mm it wears very comfortably and the rubber strap is of good quality. The red-gold ring on the bezel though is what high lights the watch. It looks dark copper, all the way to the color in the pics. It changes shades as the lighting does where your at, very nice. All in all a very accurate piece that you don`t see in the wild.
  3. Very cool, met him last year at the Museum of Flight here in Seattle. I agree, to me it was like meeting royalty. Just kept looking at him and thinking, that guy walked the moon.
  4. And happy joe has`nt changed it over the years.
  5. Your right, had that one but just never wore it. Nice piece, just sat in the box. Very accurate and made very well. This model is the one I was hoping was to be offered someday. Here`s a quick couple pics of it.
  6. Just got this one in. Couple of quick observations. Ar is really good, almost color free. The bezel color is catalyst of the watch. Changes shades depending on lighting and looks very good with the all black case. I`ll post some pics later on, but I can tell you this. It is a sexy beast.
  7. I soak bracelets in bleach for a hour or so. Then brush out with hot water and soap. Then soak in GDO (Garage door opener) lubricant for awhile and rinse with hot water. Dry thoroughly, then wax with a good auto product.
  8. You are getting older.. older.. older. Happy b-day, see you next trip up.
  9. Great post and catch. Nice comparison to Davids & Els last offering of the 127. I have had both and kept Els and modded it. Prefer that one also.
  10. These look nice, lots of attention to the model. Still way too pricey Imo. My contribution to the picky things on them is the datewheel back round color should be closer to the dial color. Not black.
  11. Thursday morning here, but when your on vacation everyday is like the weekend.
  12. Looks like the bidders are in tune with what is offered by this tard. I have an old account that I use to bid on this kind of sh*t. Never had a claim filed for non-payment yet. Caseback is a dead giveaway.
  13. Uncle Jay, I don`t believe a swiss movement version of this watch is available unless a member has had it modded with a new movement. Mbw had a limited run with the 21.8 asian movement, and Puretime has stock with the 28.8 beat asian movement. Both have their pros or cons, but I prefer the Mbw. Also after many strap options, I still prefer it on a cf. Just brings out the dial on it. Here`s some pics of the Mbw I have.
  14. Only one I have currently, but a new Korsbek arriving in a month or so I hope.
  15. Here`s a pic of the gen lume. Only difference from the rep is the hand on the 9:00 o`clock sub is lumed on the gen, and rep is`nt.
  16. I have a H series 005 and the ar is there but not noticeable in color. Closest rep I have seen was from El, some of his last offerings of 127- 005 ect.
  17. That`s a nice one, been looking at pictures/auctions of it for awhile. Did it come with all the goodies such as the plane?
  18. Met some really cool people and had a great time. We should do this again soon.
  19. I`m up for it. Any place you have in mind to meet?
  20. Ximenes, that`s a crazy looking Delaurian you have on that Enzo in your pic.
  21. I believe your right. IWC came out on top, and maybe rightly so. But as noted in watch forums at the time, they left out such manufactures as. Audemars Vacheron Patek & more. They did include brands such as Gucci, Tissot & others that can be debated as luxury or best manufactures. Such is the world of Forbes Inc.
  22. Keep it, a nice unworn original dirk like that is a treasure. Then again, I tore one apart one last year in not so great of shape for the buckle....

And of course, the much regretted Sir Clive and his dry, dry, British humour:
  24. You guys know I`m not much of a reviewer-writer, but will post pics of something I think worthwhile. This one is definitely in the upper crust of our hobby. Like the whole dang thing as Gomer would say... And.... The lugs are 23mm, so a 24mm of anything will fit. Some pics I just shot, damn it`s cold out. Suppose to snow in some areas around Seattle tonight. Will someone tell jack-frost to find santa and come back next year. This one was shot earlier when there was some sun. Nice ar, this is a full front shot into the sun.
