I`m tired of reading this subject and here I`am reading another post on it. I would like to think most of us have formed an opinion on it also, unless you have been on vacation or under a rock. Voice your opinion with your pocket book if you wish to make a stand or not. It`s the one sure thing that will get any proprietors attention.

Have`nt seen one of these without the date window at 6, it maybe out there in this configuration. Also it should be an automatic on the ones I have seen. It does look nice and the back looks engraved, not etched.

Yes, doubt it`s ceramic and besides the finish is wrong. Looks like a silver mirror in the dealer pics. Should be matte finish as said before.

I had gens before I found you all many moons ago, and now I will have gens & reps when someone closes the lid on me. There are some brands such as Panerai that I have had gens of but sold off because of the quality of reps on them. Others such as Omega, Breitling, ect I see the same result. Reps are very close and why buy the gen. Right now there are some nice deals on second hand gens to be had. I have picked up several nice ones with inhouse movements the last few months and always on the lookout. Gens are nice no doubt, but without this hobby I would have spent many more $`s trying this or that on, then finding out it`s not for me and taking a bath on it in the secondary market. Skool, I hear what your saying. Having both is the right mix for me. Then again, the right mix does change frequently.

Just wanted to share with you all a skin that just makes me all wet. Been looking for a nice Ostrich strap from the shin in the right color for a very long time. Not long ago I connected and brought a couple home. Not everyone's taste I`m sure, but for me the search is over on this one. Sadly enough though, he has no more skin available... It gets better. As for the Fiddy, Els last offering with all the trimmings done by Zig.

Love the color of the gator, and nice watch.

Finally got around to putting on a V cg on this one. Relumed and with the new cg, I`m quite happy with it.

The rotor looks engraved, saw the lowbeat with the engraved rotor at marks I believe.

RobbieG, the dial on that maxi is the best one Imo. Picked this one up a little while back, sometimes I wish I could flip it and wear it in reverse. My grail manufacture period. Just got in this Arnold, has a water (sport) heritage so here it is. 45mm, with a 7 day reserve movement. Not a well known maufacture, but they have some nice offerings.

Obviously were a rep forum, but a venue here to talk gens would be nice. We talk gens vs reps all day long so it`s no big change. A place for everyone to discuss new and old pieces and see what kind of knowledge that maybe untapped would be a benefit for all. What`s the big deal...

An old school rep that was one of my first super reps I bought from Sunshine about 3 or 4 years ago. Back then it did come housed with an eta 2892 and was pricey at the time. Most accurate dial along with the best engraved caseback I have seen in a Overseas to date. Ruby had these at one time, may give her a mail though the movement would be different. A couple of pics of my black dial with stick markers, and it`s 38mm but wears much bigger on the wrist because of how the bracelet combines with the case.

Jeez had`nt heard this, bums me out now on this sad news. Very funny and intelligent soul that had a gift for all of us to think and laugh on. A true cultural icon if there was one. RIP George Carlin. My thoughts think those 7 words will be on his stone.

In the past couple months I asked for some feedback on a few gens. Later after a goggle search, my thread was listed here on the topic. Made me feel uncomfortable I ever posted it, and knowing I could`nt delete the whole thread. Not that I personally worry, just feel the privacy we need here.
