Jeez forgot about Scotty, thanks for jogging the ol memory.
I remember eagerly awaiting when River would post a thread he would be gone for awhile on a BUYING TRIP. I would mail him my requests to see if he could source and await his mails. We would mail back many times a day if he found an item while he was out traveling and was a great time seeing what he could come up with.
Awww... the good old days.
On the flip side, I remember waiting for after the Chinese new year to see if anything new was coming out. It used to be at times a long stretch before anything new came out.
That has greatly improved!
Pics look really nice.
Man I`m really close to getting one of these, just trying to decide on which one, pvd or steel. The ar is`nt on the Gen, not sure if you can do it on this crystal? Heard somewhere back these big curved crystals were glued in and almost impossible to remove on the reps, anyone know for sure?
King just listed a few more versions of it just now.
These look, feel, and are much nicer in person than the factory pics show. The Pvd version is also very nicely made in the 48mm size.
I did like the non-chrono version of this model better when looking at them.
The gen bezel is just as bad. Do a search over at risti and you will find several bitches on it. One member even bought it twice hoping for a better fit after selling his first one.
I rarely click my bezel or play with it, not a big deal.
Relume it to the right colors and get the better caseback & your set.
Picked one up a month back and mine has black hands. I understand the first gen Plat mats had polished-shiny black hands and later on a mat finish to accompany the case. Excellent rep, only flaw is the flipside like them all.
I agree the Tuiga is the most accurate out there with the caseback on it.
Your right Kruz, the actual buying price is cloudy if done. Even in these times the market for a rare watch as this can be inflated to those who feel it warrants the price.
Who knows, 10 years from now it will seem a bargain...
Saw your posts and what played out over there nanuq. The mod-admin-Doxa agent there, does`nt stand for such tomfoolery on their forum.
You did bring a much needed sense of humor & common sense that is sorely lacking there. They just could`nt handle both at once. Just too damn stuffy for my taste. I prefer the divers forum there, at least if I want to talk [censored] about Doxa or another brand it is`nt drowned out and deleted.
Btw did you see the new offering of the Ti model, what a piece of [censored] Imo.
So the Radiomir bug finally gotcha. I got the itch last year and have`nt stopped. I did a couple in Pvd and settled on the 210. Have another Pvd case and considering this dial for a unbranded or homage if you like.
Jeez, some nice watches posted here. Sander that Da Vinci Rattrapante is the nutz, and RobbieG that Un is still high on my list with that dial flavor. As far as getting noticed on the wrist, this one has more than the others. The orange really pops out on it.
