great pics and nice watch!
thanks guys.
I think its black so gonna go with a black insert.
I'm getting close to finishing this project!
thanks for all of your help
I think its black now that I have looked it again and again.....
The blue dials, I can only imagine, would fade lighter over time.... so this should be black right?
Hi guys,
In the process of building the tudor blue submariner. I have sourced the case, dial, hands and movement and missing the insert.
Anyone can help me with what is a considered the best version of the insert? Any of the stuff on ebay good?
Thanks in advance.
No, thats not what mymanmatt meant. He was referring to the how the hands advance, not the datewheel...
I think there is two distinct tells for a Rolex
1) Most Rolex movements hands advance clockwise (i.e., you are turning the crown upwards to advance the hands) - which is what Mymanmatt meant. ETA does the opposite.
2) Most Rolex movements, when you wind back the hands, you can also wind back the date. ETA does not do that.
I just had a SW200 in my hands and compared to ETA2824 - same dial feet position
And yes, that gold movement in your pic is the standard asian movement. You can tell from the rougher finish and keyless works are completely different to the ETA.
Hope this threads helps educate people
Hey guys,
I got a cartel 1680 but the bracelet is stamped 93250 on the clasp but has hollow endlinks.
Do you know if the correct version for that time period is 93150? if so, any ideas where to track a 93150 clasp down?
thanks!
Guys,
Trying to figure out whether this is the case? (excuse the punt). I have seen cases with and without the o-ring indent?
See below for what I mean:
Top one does not, the bottom has the o-ring indent.
Thanks for kind words.
Agree the pre-ceramic versions seem nicer (though more prone to scratches on the bezel).
I don't think i'll be selling these anytime soon - spent too long chasing these two down.
I compared the genuine 2531.8000 with the old version that Paul used to offer (back in 2006) and the quality is there. They were very nice reps.
Saying that though, the current batch of POs are also very good!!
Hey guys,
Deleted the email where they had included the discount code, could some please PM me the discount code again?
I think it shaves off $20?
thanks,
Mboy
haha your answer was a little confusing...you said you didn't cut the feet at the start but said you cut the feet at the end of the sentence?
Let me rephrase if my question wasn't clear, I have a 2783 movement, if I order a yuki dial, would I have to cut the feet to fit it? (accounting for stem alignment, etc)
thanks again!
Look nice! I read your original thread already
quick follow up question if you don't mind.
Did you have to cut the dial feet off the Yuki dial to fit it to the 2783? I heard the dial feet position don't line up - can you confirm?
