  1. Agree with Doc and it might just be camera angle but the 50 looks much bigger than the rest Funny thing is the pearl is so badly angled in this picture and that would help alot to determine if real or fake
  2. Pretty sure you cannot post here unless you register.
  3. under "watches, clothing and accessories" half way down the home page did you even look? lol
  4. I had a 3135 movement a while back and the rep hands that fit the movement from those vendors were never quite right, incorrect lengths, etc etc. Nothing beats genuine hands i'm afraid!
  5. All serviced parts No 1973 gmt looks like store front new haha
  6. will not fit yuki is based off genuine so different sizes
  7. thats very frustrating... and I can only assume you have scoured through ebay already
  8. Indeed I did movement was not running and dial had some water damage though!
  9. Very nice! Perhaps the lume is a little too "orange"? Otherwise great build!
  10. Great to hear! I think the next stage is when you realise its expensive to build frankens and end up getting gens like me! Whats in your collection in terms of frankens? Nope - the GMT is genuine - its a 16750 from '83...the bezel is indeed quite worn and was told my Rolex that it should be changed when they gave me a quote. The replica is the Tudor Sub! Think its actually one of the nicest pieces around (love the snow flake hands) and was able to pick up a gen dial last year for this build Again, thanks for kind comments.
  11. Thanks for the kind comments guys. I have waited and waited for these at a good price and I think it's safe I got most at a bargain. A clue would be those SMPs are both genuine (got the standard one for $500 with box and papers ) .. And not the tag either!
  12. Long story short and for the old school guys who know me, its been a great run and when I first started back in 2005, all I could think about was getting my next rep! I was obsessed with Omegas - bought my first rep from Paul (ABAY) and it was the Omega SMP 2531.8000 blue dial, then it was the all black 2245 before getting electric blue with steel bezel insert. Over these years, watches have come and gone and today realised that I am starting to get out of the rep world when I went through my collection. I know alot of members here also go through similar transitions and some purely use the rep game to try and then purchase the gen. Others absolutely love the modding side of this hobby. The last rep I sold was a modded BK 16610 submariner and I dont think i'll be looking back... How many of you guys have gone through this process like me? It'll be interesting to see! Anyway, here's my entire collection - only one of these is a rep - can you guess which one?
  13. Not much sense forking out $2.5K on a fake case. I said this before and i'll say it again, we all need to stay back and think about the cost element behind this hobby - spending +$3K on a rep when you can get the gen for around $5K just doesn't add up. To put things into perspective, I bought a genuine 16750 for $3.2K last week - that should you make abandon this project right about....NOW
  14. +1 to what higho said wrong movement, wrong dial, wrong crown I would stay away
  15. End of day, supply and demand if the price is too high, the market will reflect and the seller will have to drop price in order to sell. Wouldnt be too worried about that
  16. Only issue is the endlinks are 593 (for submariner and explorer) and not 580. Otherwise, dial is original matte (looks like Mark I), and keeping great time.
  17. Ok will do gents. Serial is 8 million which puts it to '83 I believe.
  18. Bought the watch - he wouldn't go less than U$3.2K Will post pics if enough interest
  19. sourced from the US from a local seller. Will try to get some pics soon - have seen it only in the flesh. thanks for help so far!
  20. Hi all, Being offer a rolex 16750 Red / Blue insert for $3.2K. Looks to be all original, minor scuffs and scratches but nothing too serious. Service history unknown though. $3.2K seems like a fair deal, thought? thanks,
  21. go with Trusty's 16613 or 16618 they are quite good and not expensive - I think $200-250 mark
  22. no date is slightly smaller in size
