yeah have to say this thread is fairly pointless as each version has its flaws vs gen - hence there are reviews for specific (and more popular) variations.
Now tell me, where can i get the best sub????
I went through my emails and found that I bought it from Silix.
The odd thing is that in their pictures, it is a aluminum style insert but I got the watch, it was the clear plexi type. Strange indeed.
I've inquired again, keep you posted to see if they can help me.
They may or may not have the plexi anymore.
Have a standard cartel seamaster 300 vintage (not recent release of the remake) and lost the bezel insert. They are like a clearing insert wire black printed on from the underside.
Anyone know if we are able to source it somewhere?
Thanks
Still looking at it but its too expensive.
I think for U$3.5K, I may consider it....
Good condition - actually torn as I believe the vintage look > NOS look (which is what this model kind of has).
thanks for views guys.
Just doing a bit of my own research, seems the that variation of the caseback is genuine. Just not as common as the thicker / bolder engravings. I have also seen 17 / 25 jewel hacking / non hacking 2784s in 9411 being sold so I think both are acceptable. I'm just caught up on this crystal. Has anyone else seen rounded top hats? is that found in 1675?
Lastly, agree that you shouldnt pay rolex prices for tudors but I think the Snowflake (9411) and the standard sub (7298) are slightly different. They generally command a higher price plus the snowflake is unique with its square hands. Haven't really seen the 9411 being sold for much cheaper than $3.5-4K these days.
Guys,
Saw this watch in a local store. What are your thoughts?
Guy was nice enough to let me take a few photos of it. No bracelet - comes on a nato.
All markings are there, 9 million serial suggesting late 70's early 80's model.
Think the dial is also the newer type looking at the way "Submariner" is written.
Asking price was a little deep though, looking for A$5.2K which is around U$4K.
The crystal is a bit weird though? doesn't seem like a "Tophat".
All opinions appreciated.
I think you have to be patient, very patient.
If you give yourself a month, you won't find it. So I guess the downside is I waste alot of time trying to find these deals. Perhaps you have better things to do!
Good luck with your search. 1675 are becoming harder to find but i'm sure you will mate.
Fair enough!
I've been trying to play this genuine game differently I guess. I only pick up genuine pieces when they are an absolute steal. I picked up a 16750 last year for $2.7K with matte dial and bracelet. At that price, who cares about the condition of the polish lol
How are you guys making judgement without asking for potential price? lol
For all you know, this could be priced appropriately (or am I missing something?)
