thanks, By-tor! Your wm9 is very nice and is just like mine (mine has genuine crystal and crown). I just didnt see the need to have a genuine one and a wm9/BK so going to sell it shortly. Anyway, I ended up buying Trusty's 16610 so will do a review of it after!

if you visit RWI, you will note that alot more dealers are offering it now. PT doesn't have monopoly over the stock - its a factory that produces and i'm sure alot of other sellers are coming over. SUPPLIER SQUEEZE = BETTER FOR US

This would have been a pretty expensive project - I think it looks great nonetheless. But here's my guestimate: Sean Case: $550 Yuki movement: $450 Genuine dial & hands: $400-500 Gen crown and tube: $80 Gen bezel: $300 Gen Crystal: $200 so around ~$2K, am i close?

Hey guys, I know quite a few people have asked to have a side by side comparison. Here's a quick and dirty one to give you some better idea of what the flaws are. Overall, the wm9/BK submariner is very very good.

I reckon the rep insert is pretty good already. I'm comparing it to a genuine 16610 that I recently bought. I think the v6 is very very close (though the bracelet doesn't fit the genuine watch properly - needs some shaving off, i.e., too big)

yeah I agree the crown is just ugly but even the 703 doesnt look much better (still dwarfs the short crown guards) I could try and shorten the existing crown more...maybe?
