  1. yeah solid midlinks but i thought v1s had the engraving on the rehault. can anyone identify usin the serial number? or are they all the same? thanks.
  2. Hey guys, Got this watch and just wanted to confirm that it is a wm9. Please see pics - thanks!
  3. Yeah $350 is still a good deal. They add 2 more jewels to it so its 23Jewels. I got it off ebay as well - no one bidded on it for some reason but this was like 5 years ago.
  4. Looks good! I did this same mod back a few years ago to the 007 limited edition. Picked up the 1120 for $80 and change. Put in a genuine crown and tube and bezel insert.
  5. Thanks for the ideas guys - I think i really want to get a basic 16610 going here. Wish the v3 was still around - I put a deposit down for BK's new Sub but think that case may not entertain a genuine movment -may have to a spacer but that would make the datewheel / magnifying glass not work well. hmmm - what other ways can I make this work? Thanks for all the help guys.
  6. Used to love doing Omega projects but now slowly creeping into the Rolexes. Love to put together a 16610 using this 3135 - read that only the wm9 v3 can hold a genuine movement - does anyone else know what may work with the 3135? Thanks in advance!
  7. Looks genuine to me. 25318000 is the model number for that watch - 1120 is the movement type so all you have to do is check to see if the serial ont he back on the watch matches the card. simple math
  8. hey guys, Quick question - where would be the best place to get decent aftermarket hands that fit the 3135 movement for a Rolex submariner 16610? Are there any good ones on Ebay? or other small watch suppliers? Thanks in advance!
  9. Thanks twotone! please feel free to delete - you've given me the grace period
  10. Sorry, I know this isn't the section to be but I feel the WTB section doesn't get enough attention. Hope admins don't mind if this stays here for a day or two. Thanks in advance!
  11. I know what you mean Dizzy but my 2824 is a stock movement - didn't come from a rolex rep. THanks for the replies guys.
  12. Each person is entitled to their opinions on this board - to the majority of collectors - a couple of millimeters may not mean anything but to others they may everything. I think Ruprekt was advising we should all take a step back and look at this hobby within a larger picture - life certainly has alot more to offer than nitpicking on replica watches - perhaps he's right? Lastly, someone's seniority within this forum shouldn't deter others from stating their views. Thanks for the review Tribal
  13. Hey guys, Any info on where I can get a datewheel overlay that fits a ETA2824 and fits a genuine dial? The current datewheel is too far too the right. Many thanks! M
  14. Genuine TAG Heuer - old 90's model. Pop the backcase open and look inside - should be be a swiss ETA quartz movement - probably a 955.122 movement. The rep guys dont tend to rep cheaper stuff like this anyway - you should be safe.
  15. Anyone know anything about this? I have trouble linking to trusty's site but its the "ultimate version" Any info would be great. Thanksm
  16. Great pics! Slightly off-topic question but Trusty is offering an ultimate version that has a functional bezel lock? Anyone confirm this? thx
  17. If anything, it definitely does not jump while running since you see pics of the watch where the hands are between the number indices. Not sure about setting though, but I would say it doesn't either. Only quartz and the Automatic GMTs tend to do that.
  18. not really. He has pics showing the datewheel. That pic is just coincidental.
  19. yeah its too far out. So either the stem is too long or the crown itself was not screwed all the way down into the stem. From experience, most likely the former problem.
  20. Good purchase! The interesting thing about this model is the fact that many of the genuine parts will fit the replica. And if my memory hasn't failed me, the movement inside is an Seagull 2892 movement. Wear it well!
  21. This franken watch will always remain in the box. everything can come and go..lol Although maybe this quartz franken too.
  22. haha...I know you have good intentions. No one is doubting that. What strikes me is that the watch in questions doesn't show ANY signs of it being fake for a 42mm PO. You said you didn't notice the serial, well i'm sure others did. So i'm not sure why you're warning prospective buyers when there is nothing wrong with the watch.
  23. Yes, gray market omegas often have the serial number removed. I'm just pointing out the fact that you shouldn't just jump the gun and assume the watch in question is fake, especially if you were going to make it public on another board. It would affect the seller's potential sell. I know that once you put genuine parts on certain replicas, they can indistinguishable from the genuine cosmetically but does that mean we should call fake on every 42mm PO that doesn't come with box or papers?? Anyway, lets move on.
  24. The biggest tell-tale is the fact that no replica 42mm PO has had a serial number engraved on the lug. The watch in question has the serial engraved. Furthermore, there are no other signs that tell its a replica to begin with. So the question is why do you think its a rep? lol
