It was pretty good shaker - I was at a Mall (Westside Pavillion) and everyone went nuts. Lasted about 30 seconds, which is a long time. Definitely the biggest one since the 94 northridge earthquake.

No AD would say anything. They only run the risk of pissing you off: scaring away a potential customer. Most would assume that you were unaware that you were wearing a fake watch, and they wouldn't want to burst your balloon!

How's the Lume?

I find Lacoste polos that are made in Peru to be of poor quality and inconvenient because you must dry them flat. The ones made in France are well made, but they are not available in the US. My favorite Polos are made by Brooks Brothers. My expertise, you ask? I grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut- the Preppy capitol of the world.

I have two Seiko Monsters- one Black and one Orange. They are a bargain- especially if you can get them under US $150. I love the way they look and not many watches can beat their Lume. There are a few things that keep them from being the "Best Diver / Beater" for me: Cheap inaccurate movement- It's automatic, but you can't wind it- you have to shake it like a dork to get it going. Also, the Crystal isn't sapphire- it's a very scratchable glass. To me, it's not a beater if you are afraid to wash your car with it on. The Best Diver / Beater? There is no question: The Marathon SAR.

The IWC FA Jones with silver hands and decorated movement. The numerals on the dial are so overprinted it just screams fake. I can't wear it.

I superglued mine. Perfect fix. I won't be diving with this watch.

I do not think that's a man's wrist. If you have arms like a girl, this is not the watch for you.

Is there an orange 46mm non-chrono coming out?

It's true. The crown painfully cuts into your wrist. I have a permanent red callous from it. I bought the SS version from Jon, the Steinhart CEO after I haggled him down to $500. I have to admit I'm a little dissapointed in this watch- quality control is poor, and the design could be better. The dial printing isn't very crisp, the rivets in the strap are crooked, the crystal has no AR, and the Lume isn't really that great- completely dead by the morning. It's about as strong as my 4th gen Omega PO from Trusty. This was my only non-rep watch purchase of the year and ALL of the reps (12) have higher quality than the Steinhart. It has a great look, and I do wear it, but I have higher standards. The biggest mistake is to think that this watch is a bargain.
