I'm anxious to see what the Blue dialed version really looks like. It is obvious that the photo that Trusty/Joshua used is the same watch in the Black version and the Blue version. They just photoshopped the dial color. You can tell because they both have the same chewed up Bezel screws.

My greatest fears are: The bezel screws look all chewed up, and the steel looks dirty. I'm not too good at cleaning brushed steel without taking the brushing off!

That's so bad, it's almost good! If you were going to a gathering of rep collectors, that would be the watch to wear!

One rule I go by is if the watch is on your wrist and it makes you sick, then it's a crappy rep.

Totally. The Portuguese is my grail watch. I was all dialed into getting a gen last spring, but my bonus came up short! I have never seen a believable rep of it. I don't know why it's so hard to make a good one since the gen uses a modded 7750 movement.

I agree-- I have to say that I am pretty dissapointed in the dial quality on my silver handed Jones with the decorated movement from EL. It looks cheap. Even my wife said so. I thought so from the pictures, but I was hoping it would have better presence in person. With all the folks here dwelling on modding virtually unnoticable issues (like short cannon pins on PAMS), I figured this was an amazing rep by the way that our community went gaga over it. Sorry, but my standards are higher than this rep.

The amazing thing is how this community works: both for the dealer, and for the buyer. When ones reputation is at stake, everyone tends to act like gentlemen. The forum helps regulate this shadowy hobby. The unfortunate thing about the internet is its anonimity: it allows people to act differently than they are, or as they should. People will say or do things that in real life would get them a punch in the nose. People will talk (type) to you in the most obnoxious manner, only because there are no repercussions to doing so. With a forum like this, there are solutions to problem people. The gentleman in question was not thinking clearly- he figured I'm going to screw this guy in Asia, when I live in the USA. He forgot that he was in fact screwing HUNDREDS of people in his state who would be interested in coercing the gentleman into correct behavior. Luckily, it didn't come down to that. Andrew, you are a good man--- I've got your back.

Some people are incapable of appreciating or discerning details. These are the same people who see no point in owning a nice car: they can't tell the difference between a BMW or a Hyundai, or they don't think it's worth it.

I agree. The moonwatch rep doesn't look so accurate to me. Also you can get a used moonwatch for only around a $1000us.

Man, I never say a thing about the rep. I only get "nice watch", or "Nice Panerai" type comments. I say "Thanks", and that's it. It's just a watch: not a rep, not a Gen, but just a WATCH. I never volunteer any information. Most shopkeepers wouldn't have the balls to call out a rep around here (Los Angeles). That being said, I still wouldn't walk into the Beverly Hills Panerai flagship store with my Asian PAM 92 Arktos on! They might confiscate it!

I have never seen an accurate IWC portuguese, my grail watch. These guys have one that looks EXACTLY as original....At least the photo looks EXACTLY as original. Hmmmm so do the Lange's and the JLC's. AMAZING. My guess is that what you receive will look NOTHING like the photos they provide, IF YOU RECEIVE ANYTHING AT ALL! Maybe they sell VIAGRA, too!

I would go with the IWC. This TAG isn't as nice and the whole brand has a reputation as a common "Mall Watch" at this point.
