  1. one more vote for the 16520; i believe the white dialed version will be a good investment piece over time but really who am i to predict where the vintage rolex market will go?? deltatahoe
  2. looks like 2) from ronin's description above -- luminova on a tritium marked dial. ask him if it glows. if so, you know for sure deltatahoe
  3. speaking of doxas on ebay, what do you think of the sharkhunter on the bay right now with the us divers logo on the dial? deltatahoe edit to add --> item #110772547831
  4. fwiw, the original bakelite inserts actually used radium as the luminous material; they most definitely still glow after being charged deltatahoe
  5. (this is as close as i could find to a martian emoticon) take me to your leader!!! deltatahoe
  6. so i'm looking to build a vintage rolex 5517, which uses the same hands used in the vintage omega sm 300; i wanted to see if anyone who purchased this rep would be interested in swapping their rep sm 300 hands for a pair of genuine omega hands from ofrei (that i would buy) -- see the white second hand and the silver sword hands below. shoot me a PM if you'd be interested in this trade deltatahoe alternatively, if someone has a source for a full set of silver SM300 sword hands, i'd love to hear about it
  7. interesting indeed i'm like you -- i like the look of the steel tube anyways, good luck with the build deltatahoe
  8. now i remember why i need to make a point to go to a paneristi GTG deltatahoe
  9. congrats W -- you are right -- it is a fantastic group of friends we have here. the watches aren't bad either anyways, here's to the next 10,000 deltatahoe
  10. i'm guessing that particular carbon fiber dial is probably tough to cut cleanly (it looks like it is raised from the subdials); have you raised the issue with andrew? i'm sure he will make it right. good luck sorting it out; hopefully this bad first experience doesn't leave a sour taste in your mouth -- it is a fine world of replicas that you've found here. deltatahoe
  11. wow, that thing is fancy looking! nice find S it is so good (and inspiring) to see members learning to work on their own watches. someday (when i retire?? ) i'll follow suit deltatahoe
  12. sorry for the noob question, but are there multiple versions of the milgauss or is the standard cartel "1:1 replication" version the only real contender in terms of quality? also (given i'm really feeling lazy -- i know i could probably find this info with a thorough search), has anyone done a comparison of the rep green sapphire to the genuine? thanks in advance, deltatahoe
  13. looks great W i like the width of the AP diver strap, but what size is your wrist? i have 7" wrists and the tightest hole on the ap diver strap doesn't even come close to fitting my wrists. it is a bit surprising how big it is i need to take a hole punch to it but have just been too busy to do it deltatahoe
  14. thanks sir if you come across one of the new h factory movements, i'd be curious to hear your thoughts deltatahoe
  15. i wonder if this applies to the newest h factory base pams. in joshua's description for the pam 000N he states: "movement is generic 2 needle movement, not simply cutting off the subdial needle sprocket of the sub secs movement !!" @zm -- can you reply whether or not any of the movements you are referencing in your thread come from one of the new h factory pam 000s? thanks in advance deltatahoe
  16. i've been waiting for the 000 to come out for a while; like you i placed an order immediately (although mine hasn't arrived yet). from your pictures (and the QC pictures i was sent), the watch looks fantastic -- i can't wait. any meaningful/glaring flaws from your initial review? how is the crystal clarity and AR relative to gens you've handled? wear it well deltatahoe
  17. thanks for all the hard work T one comment -- it seems like there is a lot of "dead" unused space on the left & right of the screen; is that an option you can change -- to fill the screen with posts (text/pictures)? thanks in advance deltatahoe
  18. interesting to see that meters first 5513 on a nude leather strap; not sure whether i love it or hate it deltatahoe
  19. yessireeeee. now that's even better deltatahoe
  20. sad to say it isn't mine. those black lungs sure are pretty though deltatahoe
  21. it really is amazing what a matching pearl can do for a watch. great gesture ubi & looks fantastic B -- congrats deltatahoe
  22. can't believe i managed to miss this post; i think the new (RWG) owner got a very nice deal great to see another added to the RWG fold deltatahoe
  23. look great; congrats on a fantastic (and unique -- don't see these around much) build only thing i would consider would be to send to jmb and have him put in some fixed springars (per the genuine) deltatahoe
  24. fwiw, the stock AR on the navitimer definitely leaves something to be desired. as for the PAMs, i recommend staying away completely -- they are addictive. and with all the amazing PAMs the h factory is putting out these days, you are sure to go broke anyways, to answer your question re: the 177k vs. 177m, the k vs. m refers to the serial range of the watch (ie. what year is the watch from); my guess is that different factories made reps from a different genuine model, but who really knows oh, and welcome to RWG deltatahoe
  25. been thinkng the exact same thing b - I'm itching go get the new ap diver, but would also really like to add a new pam to the family. been meaning to email Joshua to see if a pam 000 is in the works (I'll email him once I finish this reply and post back with his response); if not it would be a tough call for me - i loved my gen 112 before i sold it, but I would prefer a closed caseback. but then the 328 also looks pretty tasty, and according to Josh a new (better) 359 is also on it's way. decisions, decisions deltatahoe
