Don't understand the bidding on this. $1200USD for what? For $800 more you can get an excellent condition with bracelet boxes and warranty cards. I can only imagine what the repair bill through omega would be.

If you only want to do the subdials you could probably make a template with dial paper. Then cut the subdials out of a thin plastic and use it as a guide with spray matte. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

I just got this version but with correct dial, someone else got QC picks with this dial and was able to catch it and get it replaced with the correct dial.

Last month did some swapping out of vehicles. You can ask, im sure he has them. You could also go gen, the basic rubber straps are less then $150, I just ordered a gen black rubber with orange stitch synthetic integrated strapped from an AD for $140 shipped. The deployant buckle is the expensive part (about $230) but the rep clasp is decent.

Whats with the endlinks, they appear to be flush with the case in some pics and above the case in others... are they lose fitting?

I don't know about never properly being rep'ed (I remember hearing the same thing about the GMTc, and the rep "looks" pretty darn good and this doesn't have the complications of the movement)... I like the watch but the band kills it for me (although the new clasp is nice), its just too small, could you imagine a pam on a rolex bracelet.

Depends what size watch she likes, small you could go with a J12 or ladies datejust both are classics. Larger watches, women look great wearing men's datejust or even subs/yachtmaster. Omega nicole kidman is another nice watch that is larger but not discussed much (its quartz, no second hand, and can be had under $100).

I wonder if there are any other differances in the cases, because a 2824 is not a straight swap with 2836 ( I know, tried to put the 2836 in my 2824 sfso). I thought I read they redid the case at the beginning of the year to accomidate the asian and 2836 in 1 case instead of seperate like previously.

That's hillarious, about 6 months ago I was walking through the mall and there was a dubs truck on display and a guy handing out free copies of the latest mag. We'll while reading it on the thrown I noticed in half the stories they do a blurb about the guys watch or car or something. At least 3 of the 6 were easily a fake, 2 of them roo's and not even mbw quality (they were on producers of a couple pretty famous artists, so you know they are making good bucks plus one was driving a masserati and the other an sl600). The other 3 there were not great pics so couldnt tell if they were gen or rep.

Just wear a differant rep next time and tell him it is a rep. Even start a conversation about it like, you mentioned those swiss replica, blah blah blah so I did some research and have to admit, they are REALLY REALLY NICE.

What do you mean you got an asian IHS for free? Are you getting refunded for the CHS or just keeping the defective watch? In my opinion buying a chs and getting a non-working chs and working ihs for the price is not a deal.

I ordered an asian, figured I would chance it (although I paid a lot less than 208, at that price I would have passed). Some have said they got swiss when ordering asian and also vice versa, luck of the draw i guess. For me if it fails, I'll glue the gmt hand and replace with a standard 2836 movement I have laying around.

I'm assuming its the "lite" version with low beat asian?

If this was even remotelt true an ed hardy tshirt would not cost 100x's what a hanes tshirt cost. Premium brands will always have a market at a premium price. Mid level brands are hurt much more by perception of value. Reps can kill a company like hublot.

I always use silicone for cleaning but aleays feel it leaves the bracelet feeling tinny... so i follow up with a heavier oil like gun oil or baby oil.

I know a little over a year ago there was a discount store (TJMaxx) in the US closing out hamilton khakis with ETA7750 for an obscene price, i think it was like $200. I know there were some posts on the boards of people buying them for just this purpose, I would have too if mine had any.

Omega sells the bezel with insert as a whole, when I was sourcing one for my gen (2 years ago when I was selling it) they could be had for about $90 on the bay. Good choice on the gen, old factory smp is nice but not gen quality... and the gen's can be had very reasonably if you keep an eye out.
